Game - for sale

For sale: Monster Bash

Added: 2017-05-22 16:20:57 UTC • Ended: July 1st, 2017
Condition: Functional - needs major work

Price

$ 7,500

Machine playfield currently un-populated. Was in the process of repairing drac trac/kick out hole. 95% done. It has been clearcoated between touchups with Omni AU professionally applied. Just needs wood grain areas painted and one last coat of clear. I do not have the time to complete.
I have ALL the original parts that have never left the room that the machine was taken apart in. They are still on the cart that they were placed on when the playfield was taken apart.
Game had no credit dot when taken apart.
Cabinet has an extra hole drilled in front. Otherwise ok shape.
I will include new chrome lockdown bar, new chrome legs, new cabinet decals, new bony flippers, drac trac bracket, new scoop, new pop bumpers, new cabinet sticker set (unfortunately with my name on the "restored by"...).
I'm sure I'm missing something. All new parts are top of the line.
Email me for more pictures specifying what you need to see.

A partially restored MB is worth $7500 in pieces? I guess it IS time for a remake on this one.

This should be interesting...

There can be a big difference between a list price and what someone would be willing to pay.

It might be worth it to someone who wants the game for less than the going market value and doesn't mind putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Who knows. Personally, the price would have to be much lower for me to be interested in a game in this state.

#5 6 years ago

$10k by Christmas...and still in pieces.

#6 6 years ago

$6K

#7 6 years ago

this game needs to be rescued and restored!

#8 6 years ago

I never comment on price, ever....I'll have to make an exception today.

7500 for a game that not only does not work, but is a friggen jigsaw puzzle is outright lunacy!

sellers best chance for a sale is a local pinhead.Possible buyer can see ,check everything out and make an offer.Your talking about one of the best Pinball Machines ever made.Give the Seller a Break ,who knows it may be worth it.

I would buy it if I was local.

Why would you start a job and not complete it?

Before you purchase something like this you would need to have a working reference to get this thing back together. I would worry about loosing parts when you move it to another location. You won't know something is missing until you start putting things together. I would consider all the parts you might need and possibly getting a reproduction playfield. This needs to be incorporated in the sale. Glwts

I know several people who have put games back together like this without another pin to reference, it really is not a big deal.

I had a kid which put the pinball restoration hobby on the back burner.

I'm fine sitting on the game until I have a weekend to spray the field and another couple days to repopulate it.

Like I said, the parts are top of the line.

Mirror finished chrome legs, mirror finished chrome lockdown bar from pinball life. The original legs are like new.

Illinois pinball second run cab decals.

New scoop weldment, new pop bumper assemblies, new bony flippers with purple rubber.

Drac track bracket.

Put together, it's a 9k game easy.

All that needs to be done is wood tone on playfield, then clear, then repopulate the playfield, then put the playfield in the game. I could get it done for $1500 which is where I came to $7500 for the game.

I could do it myself for the cost of paint.

I completely agree that it would be someone local who could come see the game and appreciate it for what it is and also the value of the parts.

Just the legs and decals are over $400 new.

#14 6 years ago

If someone was really ambitious. 6k would be top dollar on this project. It needs about 2.5 k in labor.

#15 6 years ago

If this was closer I would be all over this, Why does it have to be so far away

#16 6 years ago

This is why all the price policing is meaningless... you have a bunch here whining that the price is too high while a couple guys here are willing to buy it... just takes one! And I bet there are others that would do the same.

GLWTS OP!

Congrats on the kid!!

First kid? Congrats either way. My older son likes pinball (8 years old) and loves to play his kiddie machines from when he was a kid. He doesn't play the real ones too much.
The younger son (nearly 2) loves to run into the game room if i am in there and push buttons. He really likes to "play" the galaga cocktail by just pushing buttons and wiggling the joy sticks while the game is off. Kids are great.

#19 6 years ago

Those that look at it as needing $2500 for labor don't understand what a hobby is.

#21 6 years ago

The game has a deposit so consider it sold.

Also thanks for the congrats guys!

First...and only...kid. She's five now. Kids change everything, as they should.

For the price police, while I'm a little surprised at the ranges you came up with, I completely agree, but that's the market.

#22 6 years ago

Congrats to both the seller and buyer.

Everybody is willing to buy a game when they wish it were closer.

Congrats on the sale OP! The rest of ya can move on to the next for sale thread to whine about...

Some of them need to come wine in mine. I need some action. I thought I priced them high enough to bring out the angry mob, apparently not though.
