Man you guys are rough. It’s a dude selling a game for a relative that has no idea what the hell it is or what it’s worth.

Plenty of people on here list games for obnoxious prices, and this one was no different. Guy thought he had something more valuable than what it actually is.

Doesn’t seem to me that he lied about anything on purpose. And of course the shooter lane is beat up. The game clearly has gotten more play than he thought, but these aren’t people who were taking the glass off, cleaning it up every two weeks, shopping it every year or two and keeping the game in tiptop shape...like all of us collectors with OCD do.

Still has incans throughout the PF, no LED’s, no mods. Backbox illum is partially out, so there has been no upkeep, not even to change a bulb. Balls might even be oxidized.

Quoted from Orko:

I’d also try and give it a thorough cleaning and not pass it off as only 33 plays.

He took the “33 play” language out of the ad already.

OP, you might want to remove the “mint” and “near perfect” verbiage as well.

Quoted from mav2287:

Also big thank you to everyone that has been helpful in pointed stuff out and helped me figure out what this thing is without tearing me limb from limb.

No problem. 40 downvotes out of the gate, with some from site moderators at that, you might still have one or two limbs attached.

I would say $5800 - $6000 or best offer would be reasonable. Go from there. Game definitely needs to be gone through with a fine-tooth comb for accurate value.

If I lived closer, I would stop by and assess it just to help out (most likely with reasonable cash and a handtruck).

Quoted from rai:

I mean don't say something has 33 total balls played if you don't know it for a fact. Anyone with 2 brain cells can tell the wear and tear on this game does not equal 33 total balls played

Is that really necessary? 2 brain cells? The guy said he played the game a few times growing up, didn’t represent that he was an expert in pinball or assessing games. It was only “misrepresented” because he didn’t possess the requisite knowledge to do an adequate assessment.

He already said repeatedly that he was going off of what other people had told him, which by happenstance was false information.

Besides at this point...any comments about 33 plays are

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

I'm just saying this game is grossly misrepresented.

The correct word is “was” misrepresented. The guy gained some quick knowledge, and changed his ad.

People are acting like he was some kind of douchebag and argued about it, that he said it was still imamaculate despite the input, and kept the price the same. He changed the verbiage of the ad, and reduced the price. Whether people agree with the reduced price or not.

Quoted from mav2287:

So I guess after everything everyone has said my only concern is mis-representing the machine. All the pics and everything I have posted is how it has been. I know for a fact the glass hasn't been off since my wife's dad bought it because neither one of us knows how to do it.

I just sent you a PM with my phone number. Give me a call. I can walk you through it if you want to and give you some tips on cleaning.

Quoted from rai:

so it's kind of strange that he/she didn't just make a thread and ask what this of pin is worth rather than asking for nearly $10K.

Because he probably looked at eBay like every other uninformed person does. If I could count the amount of times I’ve asked about a game from a non-collector and I heard “But eBay said the price is around...”

Quoted from mav2287:

Either way this thread has been one HECK of a ride and trial by fire leaning experience!

It always is here. It was nice chatting with you on the phone earlier....glad I could help.

I also got him take out the translite and open up the backbox. The battery is there, but he said no damage to the boards. Apparently somebody else stopped by and helped him test it out, showed him how to lift and get under the PF, and all mechs and switches work as they should.

It will be a good deal for whoever grabs it and I’m sure the price will be reasonable. Good luck.

Quoted from stevevt:

There's just no chance it was new when they bought it. It didn't come out of a box with those legs. Again, not that it matters.

I told the OP that there’s always a chance that the seller kept the chrome legs out of the box or off the game when he broke it down, and just gave him a set of black ones. Unfortunately I’ve seen sellers do similar things before. Or at least attempt to.

Quoted from rai:

So you’re buying that the audits say 33 balls but the OP or any relatives that had possession of the game did not know how to update or erase old audits.
