For sale: Meteor

Added: July 20th, 2017 Ended: July 22nd, 2017
Condition: Used - shows wear, needs some work

Item description

Brought home a working, pretty decent Stern Meteor I had to grab as part of a package. Willing to pass it on for what I paid if anybody's interested before I start working on it anymore. $450

The BG is pretty nice, starting to spot flake a little. PF is really nice. Only very minimal wear around a few of the inserts. Needs to be shopped and some bulbs are out. It was cutting in and out a little before I disassembled it, and it was a connector on the MPU. Should be repinned.

Cabinet and backbox are pretty nice, with a few dings and scrapes. Overall, a pretty nice game and very clean. Lock down bar is nice too.

I cleaned the glass channel, repinned two wires on a connector on the transformer board because a solenoid fuse was blowing. The PF GI cuts out once in a while, but it is the next connector over. I found the problem, just don't have another connector handy. Also has original Stern envelope and manual.

Any questions let me know.

Did that stuff on the Q-Tip come out of your ears?

If you lived in TX, I might take you up on this.

The glass sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard when I was sliding it out...couldn't take it.

Come up...we can watch an Eagles game

Great looking game for the money. If I didn't have one already, I would pick this up.

Definitely. Playfield is really nice in this compared with some other Meteors I've seen lately. Been playing the crap out of it for an hour...I almost want to start waxing and bulbing it myself.

It's a fun game. I have been considering selling mine to make some room; then I play a few games and change my mind.

Clean it up, rebuild the flippers, slings and drops, lube the spinner and set the pitch to 7.5 degrees, then play it. You won't want to sell it anymore.

Someone's going to get a nice game.
