UPDATED: My favorite game at the arcade in 1979-1982 and I bought it for myself back in 2005. I have had it shopped and refurbished and tweaked here and there over the years to keep it in play shape. I did get a new board, shown in the pics, recently to correct some issues I was having, and it worked great for 2 months and now it powers up but doesn't shoot ball out. Some flaking on "Meteor" glass back, but I always thought that was part of the "Meteor cracks" - looks great to anyone who comes over to play. Selling as is versus getting local pin tech to come out and get it running smooth again. Love the game but I'm thinking of making space in my office now. Let me know if you have an interest. I'm 45 min NW of Orlando.

Wow, beautiful! I want one but filled my last available space two months ago

Nice game. Great price. That should be sold any minute.

The back glass is horrible, looks like a screw came through the shooter lane and the right side is deeply gouged. Lot of work there, It wasn't a good deal at the initial price of 1510. For 1300 I guess you have to really want a Meteor.

Not sure why the carping over the quality of this Meteor (and there were no gratuitous claims of "mint condition"). The central bonus area is in great shape on this one -- almost always_ blown out on any unrestored original. Sure, some cracking in the orange of the BG, but I've seen worse, and there's very little fading which is a bigger problem with original Meteors (and as the OS says, it fits in with the theme of the game).

In today's market, for a not blown-out Meteor, this seems like a fair price *IF* the "as is" proves to be as minimal a problem as I think it likely is. The game is booting (see displays), so no kick-out could even just be playfield fuse blown. Bottom line: Check it out in person, or buy it remotely as a gamble, but you takes your chances. It's a truly fun game, and under-appreciated a bit with all the hype over the more collectable Classic Sterns. Meteor stands proud in my lineup next to everything from Centaur to Seawitch, and I'll always keep mine!

"Sure, some cracking in the orange of the BG, but I've seen worse" One that's been smashed with a hammer? "Wow, beautiful!" huh!? Look, I like the title as do you, but come on. The problem with this ridiculous market is too many people are willing to overpay for games. 150, 1500 or 15000 it's all relative.
