This pin is too collectible for its own good.
Like Sepins implied in his comment above, for this pin to retain its value, it has to stay in its box.
Once you take it out and play it, it will depreciate by $2K.
I thought a HUO METLE was worth c. $8K in today's market. The pin cost $7.5K when it was sold new in '13. Collectors know that MET is a much beloved pin. Production of the Pro and Premium editions tops that of any other Stern title AFAIK. Still, just what *is* an NIB LE really worth?
Curiously, just two NIB METLE's have found their way onto Pinside in the last year - this and the one in SD, which is also currently offered for sale at this same price.
I'm not dogging either seller. I'm just lamenting the fact that this pin needs to stay in its box to retain its collector value, and that's a shame. It should be out of its box, exciting some owner somewhere, moshing its way to another C.I.U and, hopefully, to T.E.O.T.L!
