Knew these had to be out there somewhere.

I'm guessing this is probably the last one. I haven't seen a NIB ad for atleast a year now.

What number?

Just because I helped you get a NIB Mustang LE for $6800 doesn't mean a NIB Metallica LE is only worth $7000. If I were to take it out of the box and put 5 or 6 hundred plays on it, I might sell it for $7000. But for a NIB LE ranked #8 on Pinside's Top 100, plan on paying a little more for it.

It's rare for sure. I love Metallica LE.

This pin is too collectible for its own good.

Like Sepins implied in his comment above, for this pin to retain its value, it has to stay in its box.

Once you take it out and play it, it will depreciate by $2K.

I thought a HUO METLE was worth c. $8K in today's market. The pin cost $7.5K when it was sold new in '13. Collectors know that MET is a much beloved pin. Production of the Pro and Premium editions tops that of any other Stern title AFAIK. Still, just what *is* an NIB LE really worth?

Curiously, just two NIB METLE's have found their way onto Pinside in the last year - this and the one in SD, which is also currently offered for sale at this same price.

I'm not dogging either seller. I'm just lamenting the fact that this pin needs to stay in its box to retain its collector value, and that's a shame. It should be out of its box, exciting some owner somewhere, moshing its way to another C.I.U and, hopefully, to T.E.O.T.L!

That is the case with most collectible items.

Is it still available?

At 9800?

Man, I could buy my first music pin w this title.....but would be a player, so a bit out of my justification range.....GLWS!!!

#15 9 months ago

as soon as u open the box, and play one game its worth $8K

#16 9 months ago

I respect the Op...No biggie...Suspect he might get the price....I don't flip, just hoard...

#17 9 months ago

I didn't even catch that thread was 8 months old until now....How many of these were made?

#18 9 months ago

There is no doubt that this is an incredible game....that being said HUO LE's that are loaded with mods (color dmd, shaker, blades, cliffy's, etc....) have sold for less than $7500 so its not a surprise it hasn't sold....that being said it only takes one buyer, but with so many other options these days its a tough sale...I suspect because the game was built so long ago I suspect there is no warranty with this game?

I think that people were expecting the Tron LE effect on LE's that were kept for later sales. The post about the mods etc. on HUO models being much less definitely puts a damper on sales like this.

There were 500 LEs made...250 shipped overseas...250 stayed in the states...

Now I heard 600 metle, 400 overseas, 200 in the states

I had heard the same as the seller...500 although not sure about how many were shipped overseas....as a buyer I would almost prefer u open the box, setup and make sure everything works. If there is an issue the factory will probably tell you to pound salt.
