McCune games are as nice, if not nicer, than HEP games.

Keller/Kelly/McCune/HEP restores are expensive. I've been through the process several times and have games from Kelly, Keller and HEP...and they always seem to end up around $11k-13k depending on the base game price. Labor varies - but is about $3-$6k, parts are about $3-$5k depending on how many mods you buy, how much you plate, etc.

Sure, but a HEP STTNG is tough to sell for 12k as well. ~12,000 units made...many nice examples out there. I own/love STTNG...for me, it's one of SR's best. Unfortunately, it's always been under loved by many. If AFM/MM/MB and considered A-list, STTNG is definitely B-list (which I don't agree with, but it is what it is).

If someone is looking for one of the nicest STTNG's available, this is certainly it!

Sorry that game is 6K nice, unless someone dropped an engagement ring in the coin box.

Your confused with nice and collector quality. Jim McCune work should all be in a museum for pinball. This is only for the high end collector or the ultimate star trek fan.

#14 6 years ago

tough to sell a STTNG in this condition for the cost. It's still just a STTNG. (although a perfect example)

#15 6 years ago

Very nice price for a top level restoration! McCune is right up there with HEP and Bryan Kelly. I would be all over this if STTNG was my grail pin. GLWS!

If you simply want the best, McCune is the way to go.

#17 5 years ago

WOWZER. I'm trying to unload a pin or 2 and now I want another! Beautiful.

If I am not mistaken, that is an Aioshima NCC-1701-D as the topper. They are gorgeous models that light up very sophistical, not just the nacelles, but windows as well. That thing alone is worth $500 plus. If I had the cash, it would be well worth it. Unfortunately my pinball hobby is on a strict budget.

Thanks for the nice comments, I'm not on Pinside as much anymore. Game is still for sale and I dropped the price. Bob

Who sells that translite?

#23 5 years ago

I think I got it on EBAY

Absolutely gorgeous game. I don't understand the price comments. STTNG normally runs $4.5-6K. Add in all of the mods, chroming, etc. AND THEN McCune's labor and that is right at $13K.

Mant people are clueless on high end restorations. Figure about $10k parts and labor, not including the base game. Like a ground-up restore on a classic car. End result better than new. The only way to go for those who want and can afford the best.

This phrase, when speaking of games over 10k, never made sense to me. What's 400 dollars more for shipping in a 10 to 12k game?

$400 dollars. Plus the risk involved with shipping.

If I'm spending 10 G on a game I want to see it in person and pick it up.
