Why are there clips on the driver board?

Really nice game. I expressed an interest but perhaps it is sold. Perhaps not final as the classified is still active. Since the seller allowed a forum discussion of his classified, I thought I could learn something. The description says unfaded cabinet. The head is way lighter than the rest, and the seller confirmed that to me. That means the head was originally lighter, or the same color and did fade over time. The seller indicated that is always how he has seen them, suggesting it is not faded just like the classified says.

However, a pinsider friend who lives near me and is about to restore his BOP told me that when new, all things were the same, but the main cabinet is decal and the head is direct print and so that fades, and to restore, you sand then apply decals to the head.

Not a big deal and nothing that prevented me from having an interest in this machine as it does appear to be in excellent condition and is being sold be a Pinsider with an excellent reputation. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a new one and can recall if the color was the same when new.

Damn...this is the best deal I've seen on Pinside in like a year or two...Lucky buyer, if the deal for some crazy reason falls through I'm sure I'm number 10 on the backup buyer's list.
