Thanks. This one kind of made my night.

Must win Powerball and buy all 3.

Its the next vault, better re-think your price

#5 5 years ago

Is this a real thing? And do people still smoke in their home?

#6 5 years ago

Wow - this is the 2nd NIB LoTR machine being offered for sale in the past 24 hours, between eBay & Pinside. (and about a $5k spread between their asking prices). Interesting....

#7 5 years ago

OBO...no shit. Not trying to pile on, but out of curiosity, why to people have NIB pins? As an investment? Or too many to open and play? I wish I had the later problem.

GLWS?

I was thinking the same thing. My wife and I smoke (for now) but would never, EVER Smoke in the house. It's disgusting.

#9 5 years ago

You better do free shipping worldwide and give them money back so they don't stupid.

I'll buy a VE at $5500

#16 5 years ago

I’d pay $6500

#17 5 years ago

I had one near me for 7k last year. I couldn’t pull the trigger. Who would have known I could have more doubled my Money.

#18 5 years ago

I'm not going to be as harsh as some of the other posters, but I will say that there's been a NIB example relisted numerous times on eBay for $10,777. It's actively listed at the moment (123699855877).

You have to look at the market and adjust your price accordingly. I'd have to imagine it's going to be tough to sell a game for $15,000 when an identical example fails to sell for 30% less.

I just unboxed a MBRLE for $8k
Should have left it in the box and next year put it up for $20K
Dam ! Missed my window

Problem is anyone who buys this will want to play the pin at which point it will be a very nice HUO pin worth like $5-6K.

I’d rather buy a nice LotR that’s got mods like Color DMD and then have enough money left over to buy one or two other pins.

#21 5 years ago

Where is the TWD premium?

#22 5 years ago

Just curious... are all of the machines listed in your collection still in the box?

#23 5 years ago
Quoted from Guinnesstime:

if ya want i'll buy it and store it for 3 months, we'll smoke it up, johnny! then i'll give ya a call. A 3k smokers premium will be added of course!

Agreed 100%... most expensive cardboard box ever!!

If I were setting up a collection of unboxed pins tho this would be one because that box is immaculate.

Tron is the next vault.

#28 5 years ago

Then which one is it?

Btw, I can let my LOTRLE all pimped out let go 5k less

How can you be so sure?

#30 5 years ago

I'm going to reproduce STERN, Bally/Williams, etc. boxes and sell them to NIB collectors since they never open the boxes anyway. NOT kidding.

#31 5 years ago

Seriously question what’s a fair price? Maybe $7.5k?

#32 5 years ago
Quoted from rai:

That may be low considering $7.5K is around the price of a NIB Prem. I am thinking $10K, but let the market decide. NIB LOTR is very cool!

Like I posted earlier, there's a NIB example for (essentially) $10,000 that's been relisted on eBay over, and over, and over again. A NIB example is worth less than $10K for sure.

#34 5 years ago

I'd like to see this ad drop off the bottom..can we stop bumping it up

#35 5 years ago

I think the only market for these exorbitantly-priced NIB never-opened games is other collectors, who will never open them and let them sit in the box, then sell them for $10k more than they paid to another collector, who will never open them and let them sit in the box, then sell them...

It's disrespectful to pinball in general. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure pinball machines are built to be played.

#38 5 years ago

How do you know there is a Vault?

I would think it's just an assumption because if there were solid proof Pinside would be going nuts.
I would be extremely tempted to buy LOTRVE.

When are you gonna lower the price? I’d pay $6k maybe.

Don't want to turn this into an auction but have offer(s) at 7500.

Good deal.

I’m curious about the battery integrity. I believe it’s got AA battery’s like Tspp?

Yes, I think so re: batteries.

I've been out of the hobby a few years and don't know current pricing. Probably selling most or all of the collection and all are nice, either purchased NIB, HUO, or restorations from TC and HEP. Starting with the NIB LOTR and BBB for now. Life going in a different direction. No disrespect intended if pricing is way out of line; that should be clear if they don't sell.

Is your TZ collector quality? Are you going to sell it?

#48 4 years ago
Quoted from LitzDoc:

Have 2 of those; one definitely is collector quality as it's an upgrade to the first one I bought and still have. I'll be selling the first one for sure; undecided on the second. Same story on the MM...back then I would find one that was OK and then almost immediately find one nicer. BTW batteries on these games were either replaced with lithium, had remote kits installed, or pulled altogether. But not prepared on these yet (no pics). Locals are welcome to see in person.
