Hi guys, new to Pinside but long time Bay Area collector. I bought this Lord of the Rings about 8 years ago, cleaned it up and it has been in my home collection ever since. It works great. The playfield looks solid. There is wear around the start button and around the flipper buttons but I have the wider rails on it. I put some leds in and the color changing one on the Palantir. The left sling plastic is missing but I have some additional figures. I modified the Path of the Dead with an extra post to protect the plastic below and it’s in good shape. I would prefer a local cash sale but will ship if you make arrangements. I will be happy to provide all the detailed pictures you want and video too.

No trades as I need room to get my Capt. Fantastic back in rotation.

Some way better pictures with the glass off and lighting would help

Hate to break it to you, but it's not reasonably priced. Perhaps you were researching asking prices and not sold prices? Or perhaps you're not adjusting correctly for condition? It's a great pin that many would want to own, but it will sit forever at $5700. In that condition I'm thinking more like $4500-$4700. I know the local market and have owned at least 3 examples of this pin.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Norcal I am surprised at your comments. I gave spent time researching sold prices and saw nothing sold under $ 5,000. If $ 5,700 is high I would consider less, but $ 4,500? I know the machine isn't pristine but the only "condition" issues are the wear around the start button and edges. I have seen that on many. I do listen though and will accept and consider the observations.

I have added some additional pictures with the machine on.

As far as pricing I have reduced it to $ 5,500. This is based on pinside recommendation. This is what it said "We have seen this game sold through our Marketplace 146 times. The median selling price is $5500" I am willing to consider offers.

Thing is that amount of wear around the start and flipper buttons indicates the pin was routed for many years and the wear and tear will be across the board from the mechanical parts to the clearcoat to the plating on the ramps. And no reproduction cabinet artwork exists for this pin, so you're stuck with the cabinet wear. All told, it's a below-average example for a fairly modern pin, hence my valuation.

Not bad...These pictures show the machine off way better. I have one in a little better shape and had no luck selling mine a few months ago. Received what I thought were low ball offers. Maybe I need to adjust my thinking on this particular table? People tend to really seem to value full LED's, mods and a color DMD on LOTR for some reason. Anyway GLWS

$5000 obo is a great price. If this was on the east coast, it would be sold quickly. I know multiple guys looking for one and don’t want to spend 6k or more
