Pristine LOTRs with very low plays and zero blemishes on original board or anywhere. I purchased from original owner who had collection of 40 pins. This game is incredibly clean. Pictures say it all.
Extras:
Limited Edition back glass
Balrog topper
Gandolph lighted staff
Trough lighting
LED’d Lighting mod behind back glass With remote
Lighted shooter rod
Lighted flipper buttons
Shaker motor
Cabinet lighting with remote
Speaker lighting
Green translucent flipper bands
POTD mod
Side art blades
LEDs throughout
Extra figures on PF
Upgraded coils
Color DMD

Not sure how many games have been played this, not too many. Took pictures of audit screens but can’t verify accuracy. However, you can look at machine and see that it couldn’t have been too many. Assuming audits were reset at some point. I would guess less than 1000 plays on this machine. See for yourself. There’s no pooling or board deterioration anywhere, no BS.

This is a top ten game in pristine condition that you won’t come across often.

Open for offers.

Thanks for looking, Dave

Confirming ... this is not an LE, just an LE backglass?

#3 3 years ago

Standard arnor and speaker panel has no plaque. This is an regular one.

#4 3 years ago

sorry man, but you are in LOTR HEP restore pricing on this one. HEP LE sells for $9500.

#5 3 years ago

Who did the polished brass on this one?

there is not any unless he had the wireforms done.

No way an HEP LE LOTR sells for 9.5k. Where did you see that?

edit: Oh I see, you have LOTR on your wishlist. That makes more sense.

Friend JD had it and then my buddy Travis and now it resides in columbia TN with another pinsider. All 3 purchases where $9500 and all 3 are pinsiders. Full brass, all the mods, and he converted the flippers over to bally/william style when he did the restore. It plays like a dream. Move along now

Given that an le is 7 8k and many are huo hep isn't doing as much as say a routed 90s bw pin.

and people rarely get all their money back out of a HEP restore anyway.

This pricing puts the "High" on the High End Pin.

I kid, I kid.

GLWS!

#13 3 years ago

So what is the real price on this? 7500 or so?

#14 3 years ago

206 plays? No way. I think LOTR is under owned/loved, but $9,500 might be tough Nevertheless, when you see the NIB crap that people buy today for big bucks, I have to say this game is easily worth $8,000 (roughly the price of a NIB Premium). I think my NIB LOTR has over 10,000 plays and still looks awesome (the don't make'um like this anymore).

#15 3 years ago

The tricky thing about LOTR is that the original run(s) did not have the Pro or LE designations. I bought my LOTR NIB when the first run came out. The playfield was loaded with figurines, brass colored trim, and was generally loaded and built like a tank. As Stern went through their cost-cutting iterations, the extra toys and quality decreased with subsequent runs. For this or any LOTR, the manufacture date is important in determining its ultimate build quality and value IMHO.

What is there to confirm? It's listed as the standard and not the LE. Also says in the ad it has a LE backglass.

The old friend of a friend. Well my friends typically give me a much better price then when listed publicly. Have any of these ever been listed at $9500? Buddy deals are not always indicative of the market and I am sure it would sell for more on the open market.

Pretty sure all the original runs were built the same and none were produced when Stern started cutting costs. Only differences I am aware of are the variations in PF color and registration. Brass did not come standard and was only on the LE. They did remove some items on the LE such as the figures however those were easy to find and put back on at the time. They also made a lot of additions to the LE such as extra clearcoat, shaker, brass trim, mirrored backglass, and it was still under 5K NIB.

To all the price police and people giving him the thumbs down one just sold last month on here for 7K. That one had some cabinet damage and ugly lollypop rails likely hiding wear around the buttons. This might not fetch 7.5K but I see no issues with the asking price. Probably smart to sell before they make a LOTR vault edition however I would prefer to have the original which is built like a tank.

Hi chooch, you may have missed it, but it was listed at 9500. I believe many of the comments were in relation to that previous price.

Vault with movie assets on Spike 2 would be badass IF it happens.

originally listed at $9500. which was way overpriced. $7500 is much better and will probably sell for close to that price.

No friend deals, JD originally bought it in the market for $9500 and then it got passed around nashville for the same price. I sell all my games for what I paid for it or have into it.

I believe it was actually listed at $10K initially, only to be dropped to $9500 a few hours later.

My apologizes. I didn't know it was originally listed for $9500 which of course would warrant many of the comments above. I still think a HEP LOTR would easily pull in more then 9.5K if listed today, especially with the current market but no need to debate that in this thread.

Vault without movie assets on Spike 2 could be badass as well, if they found a good Tolkien artist to do the work and put together a legit replacement sound package. But as you say, it's all an "if" right up until Stern announces it, and they haven't yet despite years of speculation by me and many others!
