I kind of agree with what you guys are saying, but how come that another member (no connection) got bashed when his collector quality heavily molded LOTR was up for 7k? That is only 1k more and the mods easily added up to over 1.5k. Just wondering.
Good luck wity the sale though. I agree on the price (paid more for mine 
).

Mods really don’t factor in that way

Been a while. Was 7k if I recall, and he/she got bashed.
Early run LOTR’s in nice shape have been creeping up in price the past few years. This is a great price for what appears to be a machine in really nice condition.

Always the mod / no mod crowds. Plenty of buyers will pay top $ for Color DMD, powder coat, sound upgrades and other well done mods. Especially on LOTR with factory quality, hard to find stuff like POTD and palantir mods.

Right. At sale time, you have some choices: strip mods or sell without factoring them in to appeal to 100% of the market, or price up on account of mods and limit your market to those that want and are willing to pay for the mods. It’s unlikely you’ll recover full cost of the mods, but also unrealistic to pretend they aren’t of value to some segment of pinball buyers.
