Yeah, they sold 3 out of 50 them apparently.

The "KISS" hype machine is such bullshit, as is the generally accepted concept that Gene is some kind of marketing genius. Remember that stupid giant $5,000 coffee table book they made? THey didn't sell any and stuck the printing house with the bill. Remember Tongue Magazine? Their proposed theme park in the 70s? Their coffee house?

Almost all of kiss' non-touring ventures are failures. The only thing is that in the 70s, Paul and Gene learned to lose other peoples' money, not theirs. I'm sure they always come out of everything just fine.
