Game - for sale

For sale: Jurassic Park

Added: 2019-07-24 21:17:03 UTC • Ended: July 31st, 2019
Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean

Price

$ 2,600

Jurassic Park for sale. The topper is missing. I bought the game last fall, put a new DMD board in it, fixed a wiring issue, and ran a rag over it. Everything works except the right VUK switch can be flaky once in a while and I never got around to messing with it. Leaving the hobby again, so not interested in trades.

Great game. Won't last long on the market. GLWS

#3 4 years ago

Wow, change the coin door and grab some goo gone and a rag for the front and someone is getting a GREAT example of this game. That will be sold in an hour is my guess...GLWS look at those scoops and cabinet. NICE

#4 4 years ago

I'm sorry, I forgot to add that the topper is missing!

#5 4 years ago

I sold mine earlier this week for $3,800. It was nicer than this one, but not $1,200 nicer. This is a good deal and would make a fine addition to any collection, or a great first pin. Fun game and great for kids. Have a bump.

How much is the topper to purchase? Are they available?

Very hard to find now but do able. 200-300 but could be climbing. I think there are two other alternatives online

#8 4 years ago

Readily available from pinballlife for $150

Great price, topper is readily available now. Hopefully the Stern JP will bring these back down to earth. It is not a $3000+ game.

That's awesome didn't know. New for sure

#11 4 years ago

The topper isn't 200-300 dollars

Repros can be had for $150 fyi

#12 4 years ago

I prefer the papo dinosaur topper. It is far cheaper and looks 1000x better.

This is a SMOKING deal. Anytime a decent one pops up for less than 3k, it is usually gone in minutes.

#13 4 years ago

Get one while you can, I bet they'll be showing up on Stern JP's before you know it!

I thought about buying one of the repros on pinball life, but compared to the original, it leaves much to be desired. Original for reference

If you guys are talking about repros, I go back to my original statement. They are hard to find......and the repros doesn't compare.

Original will cost 200-300 from what I've seen. If you're looking for repro of the original they are less.....b/c they aren't as good.

#19 4 years ago

I’m not the authority on jp toppers here. I can’t say that the toppers I have seen were either originals or reproductions. I cant even comment really on what separates these originals from the reproductions outside of perhaps a slightly darker grey tone and some detailing from black paint. I don’t think this is a white water topper type difference. I’d buy $5 in paint and a 4-pak of white claw and hand em all over to my artsy sister n tell her to make it awesome

#20 4 years ago

This is the best example of a JP I've seen for the price in a long time. Mine was an exact replica of this game, with a ton more wear on the playfield and cabinet, and I sold it for $2500 in 2 days after 10+ offers.

If you're thinking about snatching this game up, do it now.

#21 4 years ago

Contact Rock914 for $150 repros.

I have an original and it's nothing special so I don't see why it's being price pumped. It's a flimsy, one-sided piece of plastic that's nice to have, but if you're paying $200+ for it you're wasting money that could go to some other accessory that would do much more for the aesthetics of this machine like a 3D printed gate to replace the flat plastic or the LoopCombo lit scoop signs.

Looks the same to me too. I know Rock914 is a good dude. Not sure why his repro would be of sub par quality.

#24 4 years ago

I do agree that the original topper is not impressive at all....

As for this jp, I think it's a great deal too good luck

#25 4 years ago

His repros are pretty much spot on.

Not
Sure where the digs are coming from

Making me miss my jp.

My experience with repros is not his btw so at least from me, I'm making no comment on his. The few that I've seen, don't compare well.

First, let me say that having a repo available is awesome and a heck of a lot better than the alternative.

But looking at the original vs the repo, it's clear the original has more detail in the molding. The colors are different. And while the repo has lots of solid colors, the original has a more weathered / textured look.

Just compare the teeth.

Why would a new release of an old title lower the price of the older version?

Has never happened. Kiss, Star Trek, Star Wars...can’t think of an example where it’s occurred.

Original Spider-Man went down when the Spider-Man Vault was released. DESW went down a bit when Stern SW was released.

Both those games are based on the same thing as their previous versions. This is a new adventure set in the same universe.

I think the MOVIE TRUE jp will stay the same value. It has some of the lines from the movie, and it has the characters we all love to quote.

Value isnt going any where.

If the new JP is a better game the original will become a bit cheaper imo. I think the price is inflated a bit because of the theme and the DE version was the best option for a JP pin. Similar to SW before Stern released their version.

Still, I think this is a good deal at $2600. GLWTS!

Why are we talking remakes and Vault editions? Totally different deal than new game with old theme.

DESW/SW is a perfect comparison. Are they down much from early 2017?

POTC would also be a good comparison if JJP games weren’t so pricy and they’d made more than 200 of them.

DESW went down $800-$1000. Too early to see with POTC.

Quoted from kermit24:

I'd be surprised if JP drops an equivalent amount and ends up back below $2000, there's only so low a decent DMD game can drop in the current market. Plus, at least on an initial viewing DE still has the cooler "T-Rex eats ball" effect going for it.

#48 4 years ago

I’m betting both previous Jurassic Park games either maintain their price go up slightly in value after the new release.

It would only take a handful of people interested in collecting all three as a series to change the price a bit.

The Lost World is already really cheap for a DMD pin. If either of them go up in value, I would think it would be this one. It’s already at a really cheap price point and doesn’t seem to come up for sale as often as the Data East pin.

The Data East version I don’t think much will change, or maybe a very slight increase in price. If it were at a more expensive price point it might suffer, but I think it’s already valued at kind of a sweet spot that is still quite a bit cheaper than any NIB pin.

Cute, but remakes are different than new versions of old themes.

Not buying the "star wars DE went down $1,000" story for a second.

DE JP was already on the upswing and will probably continue to rise, alot of people remember that one from the 90s. SEGA Lost World might see a little bump but I think that game will stay pretty cheap because it's just not great.

DE SW might have leveled off a bit because of brand fatigue and the fact that there are several SW pins now, but yeah a 1K drop seems optimistic. If anything the new semi official ROM from a couple years back probably helped it a bit.
