Item description

Williams Joust. Fully working, new rubbers, boards serviced. Ready to go. Original plastics with typical broken crossover plastics, apron plastics have no cracks. I've had it this game for about 5 years, take it to TPF every year and it hasn't given me any issues.

Someday...

played it

Had a few PM's about shipping. Yes, I can accommodate STI or any LTL shipper but Joust would be much easier to ship via STI.

If this is the one that was actually working (of 2 I saw) at the last TPF, then so have I Fun game, but I know I could never justify the cost/space when I know so few people that would ever care to play it :p

Yes this was the working one, never had to get into it one time last year.

C'mon man.

Just let Marc sell his game without any negative comments trying to justify why it's not the game for you.

Sorry if it came off that way. Didn't mean to be negative in the slightest. I thought I was being positive. I just moved to this city during this year and have very few friends to begin with, let alone someone that would enjoy a 2 player pinball game (I was making a joke about my situation [hence the tongue face]). My girlfriend and I thought it was great when we had a chance to play it.

#10 8 years ago

You could play it one player... was that a negative?

#11 8 years ago

My ol lady likes tossing a cover on mine and turning it into a buffet

False anyhow. I had one at my house for about 6 months and got played all the time. Constantly. Not negative just naive.

This game is epic. Great for a family household.

If I had one, I'm sure I'd want to play it often, but even getting the rare guest (I have Asperger's and prefer not to make many friends) to consider playing a standard machine is quite the task. I don't understand the seemingly unanimous apprehension to pinball from people in their 20s (quite clear on a larger scale at the local barcade). My girlfriend also still lives 2 hours away in the city I moved from.

To add something more positive to the thread, I believe the Joust machine that wasn't working at TPF sold for a similar amount or perhaps more after the buyer's premium and such. Seems to be a machine that keeps going up in value given the uniqueness. Almost gives a sense of a more sophisticated version of Crossfire (a nostalgic staple for my generation that is getting to an age where they can afford fancy toys).

I think at 6k he really has a good price point for such a rare piece of pin history. It would take more to get mine.

Best of luck with the sell

I agree. Good seller, too. If I didn't have two of those within 5 miles of my house I would have bought it when it went up.

#19 8 years ago

I first played in April or May and if this ad had been around then, I may have bought it. But for now the buzz has worn off. I need to play it again.

Great party game, and family game. My boys and I enjoy playing the one at expo each year

#21 8 years ago

Game still for sale. Had some strong interest but no one has pulled the trigger.

#22 8 years ago

Joust is one of the most played pinball's in my arcade and makes a lot of non pin players into fans. I can not count the number of times i have heard a group of new players walking out saying "that is the best game ever"
Good luck on your sale, good price as well . I turn down offers higher then that quite often. If anyone asks I will send them your way.
