70 yr old survivor

That's cool, I just picked up a 88 year old Big Broadcast survivor myself. GLWTS.

Had to look that one up
Never seen snap traps before
Pretty cool

Nice game. Always thought it was a cool theme. That hole in the front coin door is pretty rough though. Needs the cabinet repaired and repainted and would then be worth the asking price. GLWS.

Perhaps, but even with the average value of woodrails going down as a whole, this one may be one of the few that doesn't follow that trend. I took a good look at some of the pics and you're right, the front definitely needs some serious work and obviously detracts from value. However this being a prototype of a pinnacle game with other parts of the game in decent to better shape, puts it somewhere near the asking price IMO.

I did have a question about the plastics - are those original? Maybe just thrown together in its prototype stages? Obviously different than the production run.

Very cool game GLWTS!

Been playing a lot of Turf Champ lately. And now this cool Jalopy game has me thinking about getting back to an old Sea Jockeys project (animated row boat race).

#11 1 year ago

As far as I know
Original plastics although the ipdb people think the lowers r faded from red to what they r now
I got it out of guys garage who had it nearly 40 yrs
He had the bg replaced a copy of the original
Which is more like the hayburners scoring than the production run of jalopy

#12 1 year ago

Get that sea jockey up
John Dayhuff
Earlier post has some sj parts
U mite could get one built

#13 1 year ago

As far as the door and a restore job
It's only this way once
The born on date stapled inside door
It would lose its history its charm
I've thought on it
It would b pretty redone
I like the story of it the way it is
It's a survivor

#14 1 year ago

There's probably more pics on ipdb that will show the shooter lane

Another great looking pin, get it going!

#16 1 year ago

Hopefully it will go to someone who will restore it. Loved these old animated backglasss games.

#17 1 year ago

If restored it'd b cool but
It would wipe away 70yrs of its story
It's only like it is once
IMO it's a judgement call
It's cool like it is
I'd b cool restored

I don’t look at pinball machines like a 12th century piece of furniture. Restoring the cabinets adds to the value IMO. Holes in the coin door isn’t charm to me I would want the coin mechs put back on as well. The prototype part isn’t that appealing to me. In the case of this game, I like the final production backglass and scoring better than the prototype but it’s still cool.

Hopefully us talking about it will bring you a buyer. Niche collector machine, but I love it!

#19 1 year ago

The final production glass wouldn't work
Due to the light box is fashioned after hayburners
Which scores different than production run of jalopy

#20 1 year ago

We need to help you source these missing pieces as well. Coin slot and coin return. At least get the outside to look correct

I can't begin to share how intriguing this game is for me.
I seem to focus on the Artwork, feeling I recognize this work or influence.
Ipdb doesn't credit any artist......anyone have thoughts?

George Molentin is credited as the artist. One of my favorites. https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=6777
