Quoted from bigehrl:

very nice machine, no doubt.
that said, i can't resist asking.. Why in the world would anyone take a 2-owner HUO game from 1993, and place aftermarket artwork (radcals) over the entire outside of the cabinet? I mean, it's safe to assume the cabinet was probably in pretty cherry original condition, right? so why disrupt such a rare beautiful thing? genuinely curious.

The original owner a doctor located in Texas had left it in a sunny room and on the right side the original artwork as well as some on the front decal was faded and had washed out color, so I decided to use the Radcals which made the machine colors pop.

Quoted from transprtr4u:

Because you can then more than double
the real price ....

Seems like the price for an original well used and not clean one is selling around 8-10k, so yes it price is double but try to find one blemish free and pristine and its price will dramatically increase, maybe not double but worth like 12-14k. Add all that brass, gold coin door, new decals, color dmd, 100 working, shopped and it becomes more a showpiece for a highend collector and then it may be worth 18-22k. I have bought and sold several highend pins and finding a pinball machine in this condition is rare. I had to start the price somewhere so what would you suggest if it was your pin to sell, it is listed as OBO so why the beef for a 29 year old machine that looks like it is 2 years old? Look at the other Indys for sale and there is no comparison, this one is beautiful.

Quoted from jake35:

i see 10k tops. the radcals kill it for me unfortunately.

I am sure if it was your pin, you would not sell it for 10k, show me where you sold a 29 year old highend pin for the price of that one was routed but in good shape then I will consider lowering the price? Radcals don't seem to be very well liked but the colors sure do pop. Thanks for the reply

Quoted from Major-Havoc:

It’s drilled for a lock bar and not covered with the new decals and the board serial numbers all do not match. Odd for home use

Quoted from beelzeboob:

Don't even bother responding to the price police. Sell the thing for what you want to sell it for, and the market will speak for itself. Eventually, if it doesn't sell, you'll continually lower the price until it does, and then you'll know what the going rate on your machine really was.

Thanks and I will try to hold back but it is hard not to try to defend a price that is OBO for a really nice pin! (LOL) I do not see any other Indys in this class for sale so had to start somewhere.

Quoted from elcolonel:

Lock hasps were standard on WPC 95 games. This is not a HUO unit. Gorgeous but not HUO. I could care less what op is asking for it.

So I removed this pins class to original restored from being undocumented HUO but look at the latest inside cabinet pictures I just posted and tell me what does it matter what it is because it must been routed in a washed up laundramat

I Changed the listing to original restored but look at the latest pictures of the inside cabinet I just posted and tell me what does it matter what it was, it is what it is and if if it was routed it must have been in a washed up Laundromat. I have never seen a 29 year old so clean so its got alot more worth IMO.

Quoted from sulli10:

I think the preference would be decals , but the radcals have advantages. The should be more resistant to getting rubbed and damaged during a move and the colors are brighter t seems. If the rascals were done correctly , I would consider if in the market for this game. It is a pretty game tho. I normally do not like this much "gold " on a game, but on Indy, it works for my tastes. Good luck with the sale. The market will speak eventually. Would I pay 22k , no, but in the mid to hi teens, I could get interested.

I'm looking for a brave, reasonable person to make me an offer, it is listed as OBO. Give me a reasonable offer and its yours. If you do like the game but do not like the Radcals, buy it with a reasonable offer and redo it with original artwork. I can list it for what I think it is worth but I am sorta crazy like Elon Musk. PS I will not take less than 10k but who knows what unless you offer me something more! My asking 22k was to drive the price police crazy and to find out what people think its worth like your response above. Thanks

Quoted from PavBall:

I love the radcals on this game. Im not sure why you are being beat up a bit for having them, pinball has never been a hobby where everyone wanted things totally original, part of pinball is blinging your machine out and those rascals look fantastic.
Where do you send the coin door to have it gold plated? How much does it cost? Does it match the brass legs at all as that is hard to tell in photos?

I tried to find a Brass door to buy but none were available anywhere and the Pin Ball Plating guy was not currently making them and are on backorder for months. I was not sure if I could ever get a Williams brass door and even if I found one it was going to be like 600 or more and I wanted to sell this pin so I decided to buy a new door and have the door gold plated to match all the brass plating I had previous put on this game. The plating company I used did not do brass plating and had no idea whom did, so I had the local plating company gold plate it and paid them roughly 1k, 400 more than a brass one and it matches but not perfectly but hard to notice. I put the gold plating invoice in the ad. A couple years ago I sold a totally brass, binged out pristine TOM for 12k, probably now worth a lot more today.

I wasn’t gonna make an offer but the Elon Musk name drop has me reconsidering!

Did you not see the free sink offered with the pin in the ad?

Quoted from Knxwledge:

Batteries still on the MPU. No NVRAM? Was about to pull the trigger until I saw that

Buy it and I will buy you a NVRAM kit for it, it does have 10 year batteries.

Honest Abe: Sale pending looks like we have a winner. If this sale does not go thru, highly doubt it but give me a pm and you can have 2nds or 3rd dibs for it at 22k. (LOL)

Maybe 5 years ago. Looks like at least a 16k machine to me.

Thanks

He should have mentioned Elon Musk to make it easier to understand.
