Quoted from elcolonel:

Seems a little odd that the Driver board and CPU have been swapped from a different game. Nice piece none the less, GLWS.

This connector is not original so likely burnt out and was replaced. Instead of repairing the driver board they just did a swap with a different one.

If I had to guess why the CPU board was swapped the machine was likely in a non-collectors home and they had acid damage from not changing the batteries. I owned a few legit HUO machines from the 90's and most came from non-collections who had money and just wanted an expensive toy in their gameroom. Most collectors were not buying NIB machines in the 90's and these people who did really didn't know how to take care of them.

Games still is very nice and I appreciate the fact the OP took so many detailed pictures. Normally people throw up a few shitty pictures and then you are left with a bunch surprises once you receive it (unless you were local and checked it out in person).

Quoted from PNBLWZD:

That is a very nice looking TOM. The replaced connector is for the GI circuit on the power driver board, and is not unusual to get toasted and replaced even on a very low use game such as this (mine was similar condition and had to replace it also). The reason for the power driver board itself being replaced could be burnt pins from same connector that someone didn’t want to change, but is anyone’s guess. It’s not from battery acid damage though, as the batteries are on a different board altogether.

If you are referring to my post I didn't associate the batteries with the driver board and stated the CPU board.
