Quoted from TheBeefSupreme:That’s why the whole thing was weird. He did strike me as a good guy, and I am not trying to say he isn’t. The situation was just really weird. I offered a price that I absolutely would have understood if it was rejected, but he accepted it. We talked a fair amount, I cleared it with my wife, took the money out of the bank, and even got my three year old son excited that we were getting a hot wheels pin. I’m not making any judgement on whether or not he is a good guy but if that’s truly the case that he just changed his mind after everything was in motion and didn’t tell me, that’s a pretty crummy thing to do. I did even ask at one point if he could just let me know if he wanted to back out to save me the effort of trying to make space in my schedule for the trip but he didn’t say so.
Not looking to smear anyone’s name, and if this ad came down the next few days I would have just assumed he sold elsewhere. The fact that it was still pending from what I understood to be our deal but we haven’t had any communication in over a week struck me as strange.
I feel like selling you a pin just reading this post as your definitely a great guy for handling this so well. Understandable when people change their minds and decide not to go through with it, but to not say a word at all or let you know one way or another isn’t a respectable thing to do. Wish I still had my Hotwheels to sell to you. It’s a really fun pin and hopefully you can pick one up for you and your family to enjoy.
