They are 7300 with shaker, side blades, and voodoo glass...Add PinStadium UV, and tons of mods.

Pinside price police cant appraise a hundred dollar bill, let alone a pinball machine.

And $6300 at Pinballstar. I guess you pay for shipping, but... you do get a NIB brand new game.. Let's see... $500 shipping plus $6300... that's more than $7,000 right? Hm...

Either way, this game is an f-ing steal at these prices

I’m simply saying a NIB is much less than $7k. You’d have to pay shipping from either if not living close. Good luck to the seller. It’ll sell.

You will never sell it for this price bud, 5500 tops

Yes, but does the couple of hundred extra you'd pay over the normal distributor NIB price still include the warranty?

It's 6300 from cointaker, no shaker and sideblades now, that was only for the first couple hundred machines...So add 150 for shaker, 100 for sideblades, 50 for knocker, 250 for invisglass, 350 for PinStadium UV, and the other mods were 250. That's 7k+ all day

This pin is way too much fun for me to sell at any sort of a loss; so 7k is the price...Making changes to our basement, so can use the space while contractors are in there, but fine with keeping it too.

If you want to buy a NIB without shaker and side blades, still have to pay tax and shipping, so go right ahead.

If you think the priviledge of uboxing and playing a brand new pin is free you have a lot to learn.

When will people learn that mods don't always come back to you in value?

You added a knocker. I literally unhook my knockers in my collection. You added pinstaidums. I hate those things. You shouldn't have to force your decisions onto someone else.

Keep on replying, you're bumping this listing to the top every time.

PS. You didn't mind listing mods when you were selling your WOZ did you? And added a good 1k+ to the market value of it at the time eh??

2.0 boards and the monkey mod? Your comparing apples to poop. I had three people beg me to sell them the Steve G monkey mod by itself. How many people are begging you for those.... what is it? Mario kart cars you've glued in here?

When you look at my ad for that, the only mods I point out are things that are already in other woz games as standard, except for the crazy expensive steve monkey. 2.0 light board, invisiglass and shaker? Those are in non standard edition WOZs. That's why I brought them up.

IMHO, Hot Wheels is one of those under appreciated pins that in the future people will be wishing they picked up. I know I missed an opportunity on a trade deal a while back. Got a chance to play one finally at Allentown. It was my favorite pin of the show. Speed , sounds, looked well built. “Loaded” NIB’s go in the high 6k range. So the op is pricing to get most of his money back, certainly not something I have not tried to do in the past .

If he was interested in trades, I would be trying to work something out . Anyway, this game and Oktoberfest look very interesting to me. Wish I had room for both.

#23 3 years ago

Agreed Sulli, Hot Wheels is an amazing pin. I won’t sell it for a loss

I have had my eyes on Oktoberfest, haven’t had a chance to play one yet. I love what American Pinball is doing, Hot Wheels is built like a tank,
I’ve never needed to lift the playfield or even take the glass off.

Can’t wait to see what AP Pin #4 is. Fingers crossed that it’s Sonic.

this is the single most over-dramatized comment i've read on the internet in awhile. And that says ALOT... "STOP FORCING YOUR MODS ON ME!!!! NOOOOO!!!!!!" See how silly that sounds? nobody is forcing anything on you. You can buy it, not buy it, try to negotiate price, ask the seller if he's willing to sell without them, amongst countless other things that don't involve mods being thrown in your lap and your wallet being lifted out of your pocket. How many more options do you need to not feel pressured??

I remember I bought Aerosmith N.I.B.. I tried selling IT for more than I paid. i was naive. I thought I can play and collect pinball machines at a profit. Just like every other hobby. Obviously

Not swaying one way or the other, but $7k “seems” a little high. I literally just sold my Hot Wheels for $5850 and way happy to get that. It was my first pin in 15 years that I actually didn’t break even or make a few extra. Reason is that these are STILL READILY AVAILABLE everywhere for $6300! Plus MOST distro’s are including free shipping and no tax if you live out of state. Plus most disto’s still have some from the first run that INCLUDE the shaker and side art. So you can’t count them as an add on.

With that being said, IF and only IF you like the same mods the OP has installed, then yes, you would get close to the upper $6k figure, pushing maybe $7k to the exact buyer that wants the exact mods. Unfortunately pinstadiums are $hit to most people including myself.

The upgraded glass in my opinion is the ONLY mod here to increase the value of this game. So there is an extra $250-$300 IF the new buyer wants that.

Best bet in this case would be the OP remove the upgraded glass and put in on another machine then sell Hot Wheels for market price, around $5,800-$6200

Looking at the comments I know the OP will not agree, but it is what it is. This game is still available BRAND NEW for $700 LESS than what the OP is asking.

Yes, but do they include gorillas, tires and mario characters hot glued into their machines?

Check mate.

#31 3 years ago

OP is just ahead of the curve. I remember going to sell Metallica Pro for $6K, and holy fucking shit, did I get hounded. And that game was loaded with mods. Now, they go for above that almost bone stock....

#32 3 years ago

Bump for the op!

Your math is good if someone wants all your mods and is willing to pay you exactly what you paid for them

The only part of your math that is flawed is the missing discount for being used! especially since these are available nib.

I know we are in some weird pinball economic times and I would not be surprised if someone buys at your full ask, the logic of why I will not understand

Just another instance of the price police eating crow and getting ham fisted. A good rule of thumb is to just completely ignore any nominal value nicoy3k writes on these public ads.

The price police simply stated that this game is available for less NIB from distributors. They aren't wrong.

Wrong thread?

#40 3 years ago

Did anyone ever get this? I was the pending sale, had cash in hand and ready to pickup but then I just stopped hearing back. For price police, it wasn’t $7K. Ha I’m not even worried about the pin, more just making sure Dave is ok. He was super responsive and personable and then just went dark at the last moment.

Then that's a shitty dealer. They are ~$6400 new. I read there was a recent price increase at American due to microchip costs.

That’s why the whole thing was weird. He did strike me as a good guy, and I am not trying to say he isn’t. The situation was just really weird. I offered a price that I absolutely would have understood if it was rejected, but he accepted it. We talked a fair amount, I cleared it with my wife, took the money out of the bank, and even got my three year old son excited that we were getting a hot wheels pin. I’m not making any judgement on whether or not he is a good guy but if that’s truly the case that he just changed his mind after everything was in motion and didn’t tell me, that’s a pretty crummy thing to do. I did even ask at one point if he could just let me know if he wanted to back out to save me the effort of trying to make space in my schedule for the trip but he didn’t say so.

Not looking to smear anyone’s name, and if this ad came down the next few days I would have just assumed he sold elsewhere. The fact that it was still pending from what I understood to be our deal but we haven’t had any communication in over a week struck me as strange.

#49 3 years ago

Plus shipping? That’s an insanely bad price. Cointaker has brand new for $6,300.
