Game - for sale

For sale: High Speed

Added: 2019-09-15 01:53:40 UTC • Ended: September 24th, 2019
Condition: Used - shows wear, needs some work

Price

$ 1,400 (Firm)

Price is firm

Project HIGH SPEED best of 4 from my warehouse deal. Was suppose to be headed to the collection but things have changed here. Working but needs to be shopped - was sitting 10+ years so it will likely need other minor repairs also. We just tested it to be sure it worked.

CONDITION NOTE: machine looks very nice overall but the corners of the backbox will need a little repair if you are looking for a super nice machine. The nice thing is all the "damage" is in the black painted area so it will be an easy fix.

The guy "first on my list" just got back to me and passed on this machine because of damage on the corners of the backbox so it is back up for sale. I am going to email the other parties interested but at this point it is no longer "sale pending".

Wow! 6 min sale. Way to go.

#3 4 years ago

Awe man the 6 minutes I stop looking at Pinside and something good comes up.

I messed up somehow and don't know how to "fix it". I have 5 guys interested in this High Speed and I was suppose to email pictures to "guy one" on that list ASAP. Today I'll finally got pictures of the machine taken and now I can't find "customer #1" in my emails. I cleared out a bunch of "junk and handled emails" yesterday and must have deleted their email by mistake. If I told you that you were "first on the list" for this machine please get back to me ASAP.

THANKS! Skip

This was actually sold a couple days ago but "potential buyer" wanted to see pictures before he drove here to pick it up. I don't know why it is showing as a new listing now - all I did was added pictures to the old listing a few minutes ago. Anyway I have 5 potential buyers so far for this machine now I have to figure out how to contact the "first guy on the list" to let them know pictures are now up.

Best of 4, so start going down the list for the other 3. High Speed is a fun game!

The other three were sold at the Allentown Show several months ago. This one was suppose to stay in our collection but things changed and we are selling off a few additional machines instead of moving them to the gameroom this Fall.

I guess you already checked the trash bin on your email for the first guy?

I looked all over both on Pinside and in my regular emails. On a typical day I receive between 50 and 100 emails so normally I try to "purge the junk & finished emails" at least ever couple days or I keep looking at emails about transactions that are already finalized.

Since I had 5 people interested in this machine with in a few hours of listing it I did my best to keep all of those emails so I could reply in the order they came in. But sadly the original guy emailed about two machines and his subject was "Interested in Machines for Sale" of something like that. So the title of the email in his reply wasn't "specific to High Speed" -- I think that is how I messed up.

Mystery Solved! My "first guy" saw my post and reached out to me a few minutes ago. He "passed" on the machine because of the corner damage on the head so it is back up for sale. I reached out to the other 4 guys that voiced an interest in it but for now it is back up for sale. THANKS! Skip

Wow! Surprised they all passed for that price.

#12 4 years ago

Actually only the first guy passed on the machine. I emailed the other 4 guys and will give them first shot if they get back to me in a timely manner but over the years I have learned not to wait for a "kiss and a promise" because 90% of the time nothing comes of those. I try to be as fair as possible with everyone but I am also trying to get these sold quickly at great prices so I can move on to other stuff before Winter.

#13 4 years ago

Looks decent and you are fair priced if not low even with the fairly small damage.

I would have been lucky to get one st that price I paid more for mine.

#14 4 years ago

I have gotten a couple emails like "is it fully working" or "what does it need" etc. This machine was sitting in storage for at least 12 years (likely more) and all I have done to it was put the best parts from the four High Speed machines we got from that deal into this machine. We turned it on to be sure boards came up and replaced a couple rings so we could try playing to to make sure most of the machine worked but that is all we did to it.

MPU looks clean and has had battery holder cut off of it so that needs a remote battery holder installed or NVRAM installed. So to start the machine you need to run through the test cycle with the coin door buttons before it will start a game because there are no batteries. All displays look good and machine plays but I can't say everything works - etc.

This is being sold as a working project NOT a fully working machine! If you don't understand what "working project" machines are this is likely not the machine for you.

All questions answered again and this baby is still up for sale. If it doesn't sell shortly I might decide to just keep this one. We have never had a High Speed long enough to know if we want one long term and I think I can make room for it in the gameroom for one more.

Can’t believe this is still here, if I had the cash I’d be all over it
