"The World's Largest Pinball Game", fully working. The play field has been waxed and a lighter ball has been put in to make this game play quicker; much more fun. (Original ball included.) The pictures show how truly massive the game is, pictured in-between normal sized machines.
Gameplay video of this machine here:
This is not the same Hercules that Flippers Pinball was selling, even though yes, we're in the same town. I've had this machine for many years, it even made an appearance on Canadian TV some 20 years ago. (ComputerFair '96, Saskatoon)
Playfield and plastics are in great condition. The backglass has a couple of spots with damaged paint, but otherwise pretty great. All bulbs you can see while playing are incandescent. There are a few LEDs behind the backglass for the status lights, and there may be a couple under the playfield, but I can't remember. The game looks best with incandescent lights. (There's a makeshift cardboard light separator in-between the status lights, visible in photos.)
Both sides of the cabinet have scratches; the right side is worse. I presume it was laying on that side for some time. The front is probably the best side, with only a little chipping at the bottom. The lock bar's vinyl is chipped a little, but not bad.
Inside the head is pretty clean. All of the information papers are intact. All segments of the displays are fully functional as well.
The main board was sent out once for repair a few years ago, but was working for the longest time before and ever since. All that's been done in that time has been regular maintenance: playfield waxing and minor adjustments.
The most interesting part about this pinball, apart from the size, is how you access under the play field. There are 'bomb bay' doors on the bottom, with two locks for each door, and then you'd crawl under to work under the playfield. There's even a light bulb with a pull-chain from the factory that you can turn on when you're under there!
Keys for the two backglass locks and coin door lock are included, but we've lost the ones for the bomb bay doors. If I have to do anything down there, I usually just reach in the coin door and unscrew the arms of the two front locks, like I did for the photos.
When the game was issued, Atari sent out a bag with extra parts that were proprietary to this game. We have most of these spare parts (Spare flippers, special solenoid, and extra 'Gates of Hercules' spinner) plus the original manuals, parts catalog, and schematics.
If you're considering buying this: please remember to make sure you have the space, and keep in mind you'll have to come down and help pick this up.
Open for offers, but keep in mind I may not decide until I've felt out for how many are interested / range of what people are willing to pay.
Payment by cash or PayPal preferred.
Definitely open for offers; pricing seems to be all over for this game.
You're welcome to ask any questions or for more pictures.
