Haunted House pinball is a 1982 machine manufactured by Gottlieb. There were 6835 of these games made. It is unique because it was the first 3 level pinball made. It is also called a “wide body” pinball because the play field and cabinet are wider than a standard pinball machine. This game also weighs lots more than a normal pinball due to all of its special features. It has a new backglass and all new electronic boards which have upgraded features not found in the original game.

Haunted House has 8 flippers and a number of cool features like lightning animation in the back box and spooky organ music during game play. This game had originally been the subject of a power surge that fried all of the circuit boards and many of the other electrical components. It had to be completely rebuilt and the cost of the repairs was more than the current value of the game. This game was a classic example of my spending way too much to fix a game whose market value is not worth the repair costs. But that said, Haunted House now works better than originally designed and has been fitted with color LED bulbs to accent many of its features. Haunted House is viewed by collectors as a game that no game room should be without.

What's up with the start button? Why would anyone do that?

It's waaaaaaay more common than you'd think. I recently worked on a pair of HH and BH and they BOTH had an additional start button that gave credits and started a game. Why you wouldn't just do that to the normal start button escapes me....

While I'm at it, what's up with the bonus display? Looks wrong...

Looks like it was replaced with a 7 digit one.

Is the back box edge yellow or am I seeing things?

Are the speakers part of an "upgrade" to the game or are they just up there because its a convenient place to put speakers for music listening in your game room?

You're seeing things. We're all seeing things... but yes, its yellow
