Item description

For Sale (SS project trades considered)
This is a REPAIRED pin as when it was purchased, the cab was in complete shambles. For images of the progress of repair, see the thread (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/giving-a-hardbody-a-workout-to-remove-the-fat).

The GOOD:

Game plays 100%
New Plywood Cabinet (replaces original particle board)
New Reproduction Plastics
New rubber
New LEDs throughout
Programming keypad is present / functional
New flipper and start buttons
All EM items checked and made functional
Switches have been gapped
Coils checked for resistance and replaced where needed
New flipper EOS switches for all 4 flippers
All power & sound capacitors have been replaced
Several new ICs with sockets
Display voltage adjusted to 170VAC
Sound and voltage POTs replaced with new units
Playfield star posts have all been replaced with a dark blue theme
Backglass / translite in very good condition
New playfield glass
Playfield cleaned / waxed (upper mylar was removed as it was peeling, lower mylar still intact )
New ball
New speaker
40W LED bulb installed in backbox
All ramps, rails, posts & metal parts were pulled and polished
A small amount of cabinet paint will accompany unit for future touch up
Coin mech's function (set to $0.25 for 3 balls) when not on free play
Vinyl wrapped rails, lockdown bar and coin door
Original manual will be included

Contact us for a link to our dropbox with 200MB of images, video of game play coming soon.

The Bad:

Reproduction cabinet thus missing the generic Bally / Midway cabinet artwork, backbox lock was not re-drilled, was not re-installed nor included but could be retrofit if desired
Game had been routed at one time as it had tax decal on original cab
The backbox vent holes are not quite 100% square
Minor playfield wear (primarily by outhole, see images), images show what appears to be planking but I think it is in the artwork.
Several spots of artwork wear at the "stations" (see images)
One yellow drop target doesn't drop fully until a second one it hit (we will try and resolve this one prior to sale)
Dumbbell drop targets have ball wear on the artwork
OEM Mirror blades not installed in game (but are included)
Backglass mirror has a few very small spots where mirror finish has worn (see images)
Apron has scratches and signs of wear
Coin door was not restored, it was pretty straight, closes and locks but has signs of its age

local inspection / gameplay & pick up is OK or can be crated and shipped via NAVL, FedEX Freight or other LTL carrier depending on your request, crate fee may apply, contact us for more details.

Thanks for your suggestions dudah!
I realize the asking price is high, but IMO it's a place to begin negotiations, the post should say OBO. It should also say trades considered, I see that it does when I look at it, but not sure how it looks when others look at it.
I realize I will not get out of the machine all I put into it, I certainly accept that. It was a good learning project.
And yes, it gets played every day! The theme may not be all that good but the game play is cool, again IMO.

I know it is hard to believe but this machine is still available.

I hope I don't have to drop the price much lower, I know that one sold on here recently for $1200 + shipping, but had the original cab.

#16 7 years ago

I'd also trade for another SS project or maybe two
Had a shot at a Raven only minutes from my work just last week, "missed it by that much", winning ebay bid was a whopping $188!

Whoo hoo, sale pending from my CL posting. Hope it pans out!
I will still give Pinside a donation if the sale goes through. Could not have done all the work on it had it not been for this site, so credit is due, thanks Robin!
