Item description

I am selling my GOTG LE (306 of 600.) I am located in southern CA.

I prefer a local buyer but if you’re located elsewhere, have experience arranging shipping of pins at your expense, and can provide verified funds, we can discuss.

I added the following modifications:

Pin Stadium lights with fusion and “hover” upgrade in April 2019. Currently, I need to solder the light bar to fix the white lights on this. Otherwise, it’s an amazing upgrade.

PDI Optical Non-Glare glass from Pinball Decals, Inc in March 2019. I also have the original glass (never used.)

Stern brand GOTG topper, purchased from Game Room Guys in June 2019.

Purple scoop illumination, Groot illumination, green ramp illumination, blue trough lighting kit, Ninja premium pinballs, and Hexagon flipper toppers; all from Mezel Mods.

I also have an Orb airball plastic protector that I never installed.

I adjusted the magnets immediately upon delivery. The only other issue I’ve had is one sensor replacement near Groot’s mouth, which I repaired myself. The machine functions perfectly and has no damage. Standard audit details 292 “total plays”, 673 “lifetime”, and 835 "total balls played."

I’m including pics and am happy to send more to serious buyers. I really appreciate the opportunity to sell this on Pinside, too.

Thank you.

This is why we should have downvotes (robin, are you listening?) The pin was clearly marked $7500. A couple people make some inquiries and next thing you know the price has escalated to the stratosphere.

Lol looks like it got a second big raise. I saw it at 10k before, now at 13k. Good luck with that...

He’s either a Golddigger, has medical bills, college tuition to pay, or boat payment due.

I dont blame him for realizing he priced it too low and raising the price. I dont see how $7.5k is a steal though, and I don't see how $10k or $13k are reasonable based off the sales history. I must be missing something.

I guess who knows in this market. This game might be more desirable than it once was with marvel stuff peaking in the mainstream. At one point it seemed as though people could barely give this game away; although I don't think I've seen an LE listed before.

Of course it's worth whatever someone will pay, but the used prices so insane now I can't see why anyone wouldn't just buy NIB now instead. Just sorta amusing to get two big price raises in such close proximity.

The first price was a bit low. But the OP should’ve done a bit of research before posting the ad. Now he looks like an opportunist on a money grab.

Usually when someone is moving they price to sale, now it would seem he wants to keep it lol

My theory is he did it temporarily so he could research a more accurate price.

Your right automated still had this NIB just a couple month's ago yet, they wanted $10,500 for it. Had 2 to choose from for the longest time. I don't think ppl like the color scheme and the first thing they do us remove the arms. But whatever nobody plays the LE'S on here im sure we'll see it relisted after the Godzilla or BTTF with 74 plays on it

Maybe will show pics with this stuff in the "final" revision of the listing along with a 3rd price jump. Maybe 15k (firm) next?

Is the pin worth more then 7500‽ absolutely. However this was not the right way to sell this game. I was the first to send him a full price offer as soon as he posted it. I sold my GOTGLE way back when for 7500 with a stern topper pinstadiums. Stern laser cut side rails shaker motor and HD glass. Yeah I lost my ass. Could I have gotten more? Absolutely However I posted it and it sold for what I listed it for mins after I posted it. Granted this is now a different time in pinball where people are paying way more then before. However the moral of the story is be a man of your word. You make a mistake OWN IT! This game is probably worth every bit of 12500 However because of how this was presented I would not give him anywhere near that amount. Understand people are looking for their grail titles every second of every day. There are consequences to our actions. If this was an auction you would not have the opportunity to say sorry guys I want more. Need stricter policies on selling games here on pinside. Perhaps 3 strike policy or something. This shit should not fly. GLWTS.

Did they accept your offer? Stinks they raised their price, but as long as they didn’t accept any offers initially, then I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t have done it this way, but doesn’t mean this is some terribly horrible person for realizing their error and adjusting accordingly.

I listed this game for sale tonight and didn't realize I priced it (much) too low. I'll list a price tomorrow (Sep 2.) Sorry everyone.

I do not see a post of you selling a GOTGLE, I do see a post of you asking for gold side rails just 23 days ago. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stern-side-armor-for-guardians-of-the-galaxy-gold

I believe I’ve seen this ad before locally to me on craigslist in the Midwest could be wrong though don’t wanna stir up shit this seems weird to me I wouldn’t fuck with it at 75

The guy somehow realized he was leaving 4K-5K on the table and adjusted the price.
Now, the folks who thought they’d steal it are upset.

#26 1 year ago

For all of you from out of state who are dying to buy from someone with no kind of feedback or even history in Pinside. The fomo is real apparently. I message him to pick this up personally within 10 seconds of posting this add and still got the run around from him and then Raised the price! Good luck who ever wants this ship out Specially for 13k.

Yes, he had it priced way too low.
It would have been a shame to see the poor guy not get fair market value for his machine.

Well fair market value means both buyer and seller are knowledgeable of the asset, obviously he wasn't. $13k though lol, "poor" guy.

Hope he finds the right buyer for his game. A complete GOTGLE w topper is hard to come by right now. My apologies if my rant took away from this guy trying to sell his game. Sincerely GLWTS!

Coming from a guy who sold his Halloween preorder spot at profit before any games had shipped even.

Personally I don't really get up in arms about that kind of thing like some people do. More power to you if that is how you decided to handle your purchase, but then a bit of a stretch to talk about the virtues and morals of a proper sale.

Did not buy my spot to flip nor did I even want to sell it. Family did not think it was a good theme for our family game room. I posted my price and got 15 plus requests to buy all at asking some at even more then asking because it was spot #81. The first guy who messaged me was the one I gave an opportunity to buy. I sold at asking price never did I even think of raising him because others offered more. The gentleman needed almost a week to get everything in order and I gave him his time because it was the honorable thing to do. I have already apologized to the OP for deterring his for sale post no need to go back and fourth. Thanks

#33 1 year ago

$7500 was under valued and the re-price to $10K is understandable. But to do it again, this time to $13K? Shitty, amateur hour move. Keep the damn thing

Pinside is the school that this tool attends. He learned all he knows about pinball here. As soon as he saw Playtwowin's avatar, and got his door beat down(and probably offering him 9K for good measure in his first inquiry to make sure the well was poisoned for any other potential buyers)via PM , can you blame the guy?

FYI. My offer was asking price. I don't play the bidding war game. Don't judge me by my avatar it's very offensive. Lol

What’s a GOTGLE with topper and GOTG siderails worth?

Might let it go to make way for a BTTF

Hi all,

Here's my story:

I recently accepted a job transfer from the Dana Point, CA area to the east coast for this October and I'm likely moving from the home I rent here into a much smaller apartment. I'm also scared to let movers relocate this cross-country. I always dreamed of owning a pinball machine before purchasing this, but I never researched them prior. It was a *huge* purchase for me. I love it, though, and I really hope to purchase a new one upon my move. I had *no idea* they are so expensive and difficult to obtain right now, though.

I did no research before throwing this online last night...thinking I *might* get a *few* people interested and that I'd lose money selling it. I had *no idea* I'd immediately get 8+ offers for it, many above my (much lower than cost) asking price. To be honest, I didn't even add up all the mod costs I put into it. Within minutes, I changed my ad-increasing the price (still to less than what I put into it) and putting a note saying that I made a mistake and will update the ad ASAP. I just updated the ad.

I will reply to anyone who sent what appears to be a legit offer. So far, I only initially replied to two people and I did not discuss selling it with anyone yet. I received a lot of comments that I will not entertain, too. Huge apologies for appearing to mislead anyone-that was not my intent. Of course, I'll take what anyone is willing to *seriously* offer-which appears to be much above what these have sold for in the past.

Happy to provide a quick, honest answer to other serious inquiries. I think this (legit) ad of mine has surprised us all in many ways!
