This may just be the nicest Sunshine in existence. Truly a mint condition woodrail players game from 1958. This pin plays 100% perfect and looks absolutely beautiful. Its only 1 of 4 Gottlieb games that have the "player rating" feature which I think is fun. We're selling because we need to make room for a new game - so SS is going away.
The playfield is in amazing condition. No major wear, no scuffs, or torn up spots at all. There is slight wear around a couple of the pops - adhesive mylar protectors are now in place. The shooter lane and upper arch have been restored and look new. It appears the PF has been cleared and the job was well done. This playfield sports new topside plastics, new flippers, new rubber, new bumper caps, new ball lift deflector and stick protector, new ball gate and rebound bracket. Posts I believe are original and look almost new. This title is relatively unique in that it uses metal lane guides. Many SS examples today are missing the original metal guides and have substituted plastic ones. They're all here on this machine and look perfect.
Backglass is a Shay and as you can see its beautiful. The backbox number wheel looks great and works 100%. LED's have been fitted behind the glass to minimize heat and increase color contrast. Incandescent 455 flashers fitted behind the "Sunshine" name as is typical for these games.
You have here a completely original cabinet in mint condition. Paint looks great! No major issues. Wood trim also is very very nice! Legs have original Gottlieb creme white paint (red was the other color available) and are in pristine condition. Coin door appears to have been repainted, and is in nice condition. Coin mech's have been removed. There's a small piece of wood that's split off on the back side of the head box, near the bottom. Not noticeable.
Sunshine also sports mirrored side blades inside the cab which have been replaced with new. This pin also has nice new "diamond pattern" flipper button protector plates, and new red aluminum flipper buttons. Cabinet mechanicals are *very* clean for a machine of this vintage.
1 Sept: Price adjusted to include "OBO". Come on over and pick up, or I will work with your choice of shipping service.
