Rarely seen for sale here in the states, can't imagine it staying for sale long it is such a sought after pin. GLWTS

#3 4 years ago

That would sell quickly in the states at that price!

#4 4 years ago

Cool looking restore! Love system 80 games.

#5 4 years ago

That would sell instantly in that price if you were here in the states. Not enough of that title here to satisfy the demand for it.

#6 4 years ago

Interesting layout, I'll have to look that one up in my spare time.

Such a great game. Good luck

A BUMP in Steve's memory, who epitomized the good spirit in this hobby. I am sure someone will be quite happy to add the machine to their collection, good luck with the sale.

Offers are welcome as well. And if anyone has any good experience with a reasonably priced shipper I would love to here.

The quote I got is about 1400 Dollar including insurance.

I made a gameplay video and uploaded it unlisted on youtube

super interesting game, I love it. Extremely hard to find for sale in NA

#13 4 years ago

Yeah usually I NEVER watch these kind of video's but HOLY CRAP that was entertaining!! I think just your bonus alone on ball one beats out anything I ever scored on a five ball game. Not to mention you got multiball like what, four times? I lost count......, very nice!!

Thanks haha, yes it was a good game. It took a few tries. On the first ball I had spelled spirit and was trying to get into multiball to collect the special with 3x score. Which would be 300k. And there we're so many accidental "almost" droptarget hits before getting multiball. In the end I couldn't get it done

The spinning disc motor seems like it’s very quiet. Does it make any noise at all?

Not sure about his but I just replaced my motor with a NOS one from PBR, yes it was still in the newspaper wrapper from 1980. Anyways, it's pretty dang quite, not entirely but certainly way better then the Volcano motor that was super noisy and spun 100mph that someone had stuck in it's place.

Great that you noticed. The new motor is very quiet. The original motor works fine but just makes so much noise. I replaced it with a geared dc motor and put a regulator and stepdown converter on a small PCB. This way you can even adjust the speed a bit. I made a bracket so it can be attached to the original mount that is attached with the rubbers around the screwholes. That way it isolates the vibrations. And if you want you can still easily make it original again.

Ofcourse I first tried to make the original motor more quiet. I took it all apart, cleaned it and lubed it with the right kind of grease but it still made so much noise. I think it's just wear that happens after a few years that causes the gears to have a little play in it.

Three days and this is still available...…..damn! Three hours would be about right here state side, they just aren't seen or offered up much here.

My Spirit motor does sound like a tank

Is there anything louder than a Gottlieb roto target unit like on my Circus?

You say the cabinet is restored. Details?

#23 4 years ago

I had one. A real nice one ... hunted to find one for a long time, paid a mint for it, but needed to part with it to buy a new house. Joe "PinballStar" has it now. Glad it's in such a nice guy's collection. One of the most strikingly beautiful pins out there.

#24 4 years ago

I almost had one yrs ago when a collector named Bob passed away in CA. His brother sold his collection of pins that had 2 spirits. One was mint the other in players condition. Even though I was 1st to respond and explained that I only wanted one of the 2 spirits out of the 10 or 12 pins someone with a wad of cash bought the whole collection with the condition that both spirits be included. Still hurts to think about it.

#25 4 years ago

It's reserved

Well damn.

Well, I don't believe it's blue on the inside originally. And the sides have no damage and great color. So I imagined it was repainted from the ground up. I don't have much details from the former owner (who had done this, of the one before him). I had it picked up with a truck from Belgium without much information other than pictures. Felt like I had to jump on it back then

In my book this pin and Stern’s Viper are the two most strikingly beautiful pins ever made. Both have captivating art without being too busy. Wish I had one of them.. or both!
