Item description

THIS IS BY FAR THE RAREST PIN WE HAVE EVER OWNED. ONLY 10 PROTOTYPES WERE PRODUCED AND ALL WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DESTROYED. THIS ONE MADE IT OUT INTO THE WILD AND IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO OWN. IF YOU LIKE RARE PINBALL MACHINES AND BILLIARDS DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. THE STORY BEHIND THIS PIN IS THE FOLLOWING:
SEGA WANTED A PIN TO COMPETE WITH THE GREAT EIGHT BALL DELUXE. THEY ALSO WANTED SOME EYE CANDY SO THEY CHOSE KELLY PACKARD FROM BAYWATCH TO APPEAR ON THE CABINET AND BACKGLASS. BEING THAT THIS GAME IS A PROTOTYPE ALL OF THE CODE AND RULE SETS WERE NOT COMPLETED. THE GAME WILL INDEED PLAY A GAME BUT ONLY IN THE ONE PLAYER MODE. INCREDIBLE TECHNOLOGIES WHO WORKED ON THE GOLDEN TEE GOLF GAMES WORKED WITH SEGA ON THIS GAME AS WELL. THIS MACHINE WAS LATER MADE INTO SHARKEY'S SHOOTOUT WITH A VERY SIMILAR PLAYFIELD DESIGN, DIFFERENT CABINET DESIGN, AS WELL AS DIFFERENT RULE SET.
DUE TO THE FACT THIS GAME IS A PROTOTYPE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IS NOT LIKE A NORMAL FUNCTIONING COMPLETE MACHINE. WE HAVE GONE THROUGH THE GAME AND IT PLAYS AS COMPLETE AS IT CAN, BUT IT IS STILL IN ITS INFANCY CODE OR RULE SET WISE. WE INSTALLED LEDS, RUBBERS AND CLEANED AND WAXED THE MACHINE. THE PLAYFIELD IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND DOES HAVE MINOR WEAR IN SPOTS. THE GAME LOOKS MUCH BRIGHTER WITH THE LEDS INVOLVED. THE GAME PLAY IS ACTUALLY PRETTY COOL WITH 7 STANDUP TARGETS, 3 POP BUMPERS, A LEFT RIGHT AND UP POST BETWEEN THE FLIPPERS THAT THE PLAYER ACTUALLY CONTROLS.
THE CABINET IS A NICE ORIGINAL WITH COOL ARTWORK AND DOES HAVE MINOR NICKS AND SCRATCHES.

AGAIN THIS WAS A PROTOTYPE MACHINE AND I DO NOT BELIEVE OF THE 10 MADE MANY MADE INTO THE PUBLIC'S HANDS. THIS IS REALLY A UNICORN FOR THE PINBALL COLLECTOR WHO COLLECTS REALLY RARE GAMES OR THE NOVICE WHO JUST LOVES A RARE BIRD.

WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS GO TO A PINBALL MUSEUM SOMEWHERE.

I WILL SHIP AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO CALL ME AT [phone number removed] WITH ANY QUESTONS. PERFECT FEEDBACK SO BUY WITH CONFIDENCE. THANKS DAVE

Wow man. This is special. Any chance you have a video of it?

ARE YOU THANKING DAVE?

I think it's designer Jon Norris. Interesting that he is credited as the designer of this but John Borg is credited for Sharkey's Shootout, though Sharkey's does admittedly have some differences.

WINNERS WRITE THE HISTORY BOOKS. THANKS DAVE

what would happen if you tried running normal sharky code with this version? How many differences are there? I see the scoop is gone.
