For sale: Gold Record (Chicago Coin, 1975)

Added: May 3rd, 2016 Ended: May 7th, 2016
Condition: Functional - needs minor work

Item description

Gold Record has a very nice backglass, only 2 tiny bad spots. Everything can be seen in the pics. Playfield has wear, but all plastics and all targets are intact, nothing broken.

Game powers up and plays games if I manually index the scoring reel a bit. Will continue playing games until powering down, then in order to power back up the reel needs to be turned a bit again. Not sure what the exact issue is, just haven't had time to dig into it. When playing, only remaining issue I can tell is the the 1k scoring reel still doesn't register properly. Selling as a project for these reasons.

I have see this and honestly it's in very nice shape. It's gotta be an easy fix for
Someone. The backglass alone is worth $150 bucks!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen this game. An absolute steal for $250.

The Chicago Coin games of this era almost always have issues with the scoring real mechs. They were plastic and most likely the reason manually indexing the scoring reels allow it to start (by setting them to zero).

GLWTS!

Always thought this was one of the cooler looking Chicago Coin games, both in theme and art and looks like it would have interesting gameplay.

Probably loses a bit by CC cheaping out with a bank of standups that really should be drops. I think drops came on the LE version.

Some CCs are cool. This being one. I also love Casino. Wish I could find one. Whatever the issue with this game sounds like a easy fix

The bank of targets on the left are drops.

Here's the funny thing about that: zero position initially is where it won't power up. I have to turn it past 0 into the middle somewhere then turn the switch on then it goes the rest of the way back to zero and is ready to start.

Oh. Never mind.

Looks like a cool game!

Looks like a good deal. Hope this is on the floor

It will be on the floor at this point. Kinda surprised it hasn't sold yet, I think it's a great deal for a project that is 90% there...
