Wait a second. Your cabinet has a separate drawer for storing knick knacks. I have never seen that.

Neither have I. I was wondering if I was starting to go crazy.

#5 5 years ago

Wow, I've never seen that! Just when you thought you've seen it all.

You have wear on on of the palm tree inserts, the pineapple inserts, rusted ramp flap, and a rusty leg.

Don’t forget the VUK wear

Man that’s wild
But kinda neat and also looks relatively well done
Wonder what the bottom of the cab looks like
At least it has a key

"Also the cabinet is not faded that’s how it was made."

Since when? So, Gilligan's shirt is red on the playfield and translite, but intentionally yellow on the cabinet?

Seriously!

OP posted one side pic with his red shirt on, and then says his completely yellowed artwork in the other pics is how it came from the factory.

Funny, mine is also a reimport, and doesn't have a stash box.

Could be from a different country? There are different color variations between US and overseas pins? His could have been on a route or such and dsuperbee a home unit? Where the first picture came from I don't know but if you follow the pictures on the thread the yellow faded version is on both sides. Just my .02 cents.

Would like to know what country it is from? I have seen a pin from England and heard of one from France and Germany.

His is faded, plain and simple. Both sides have differing amounts of fade as well. The stash box was added by someone at some point, it isn't a factory thing.

Yeah, it’s faded and hacked and has lots of wear. That might not kill the value for some folks, but it sure will for anyone on pinside.

First of all I appreciate all of you who have dedicated your lives to pinball and researching to a point most of us do not do. When I purchased this pinball machine the over all condition was good in my opinion as a player. The cabinet looked like new with no scratches, etc. and I did not even think about the fade at the time. Upon really looking at the backbox and cabinet I see it is faded but there is no sign of red anywhere on the shirt on both sides. So yes the cabinet is faded so that is an issue. The coin box when I bought it looked like it was stock. Upon looking at it further after my posting and all your opinions, it does look like someone added this to the game as I have never seen anything like this before. Yes the box collects money and can be used for storage. The box looks like it was original to the game so as someone who does not know everything about pinball, I thought this was built this way. Little did I know this was not the case. So when I posted this ad originally I apologize for not doing my homework but it does not matter because it sold already. Those that know me in my dealings and personal level know that I am very honest and am not a scammer. I take pride in what I sell and will not hesitate to pay extra to ensure quality to my buyers. A better approach may be instead of blasting someone on a forum, you may want to email the person and suggest instead of getting off on a forum post. Just a thought.
