Item description

Ghostbusters Pro for sale. Cabinet is perfect. Playfield is perfect other than a sliver of ghosting on the storage facility insert see pics. This happened in the first couple weeks and hasn't gotten any worse after a couple hundred games. Total games played count is between 350 and 400. It had the code updated now only has 65 plays. Has the glowing plastic mods by the out lanes. Has the vinyl green slime added to the ramps. Has the updated Slimer on it that registers when hit. Also has RGB color changing strip with remote under the back box to light up the rear of the Playfield. I have it set to pulsating green but it can be set to any color or rotate through colors. See pics.

Quoted from herbertbsharp:

what are you looking for as far as trades go?

More so looking for a sale. I am trying to get into my collection a Ghostbusters premium, Iron Man Vault Edition, also No Fear, Shadow or a Batman Forever. The last three I see you have in your collection. All are good games that would make great addition to any collection.

Changed the ad to sale. I would entertain trades especially with the aforementioned titles.

Yes, this game has dimpling as do all of my newer Stern's. A lot of the older Williams and Bally's in my collection have dimpling. After a few thousand plays, they have evenly dimpled themselves flat again!

Quoted from silver_spinner:

the audits show LIFETIME plays whether you updated code or not. so you will know exact number of plays. look in test menu. its on every new stern since tron.

I had no idea you could do that. I'll give it a check and make an update to the sales thread.

Where is this menu located? I have owned many Stern's and I have noticed that they all reset audits when code is updated. I do not see this menu. I have a few games created after TRON cannot find menu there either. Only test menu that I see is Game specific tests. Please Specify.

There is no way show accumulative lifetime plays once Factory code is reset. There have been other threads created on pinside discussing this. The only way to do it is with an actual coin counter but that doesn't work when it's on free play. The community is going to have to take my word for it. You can tell by looking at the game that it has less than 500 plays.

My question to a Stern technician was do Stern machines store lifetime plays even though factory reset or code updated?

This was the reply from a Stern technician......

Sorry no, this will be reset to zero if a factory reset is preformed. The earning audits cannot be reset. If the game was operated commercially you would see paid credits in the audits.

So this is where the confusion is created. Paid credits are accumulative and get stored not gameplays.

My game is huo, so obviously there are not any paid credits.

Quoted from sevenrites:

It's a bit ridiculous companies haven't coded a way to keep track of lifetime plays, free play or not - especially with the collector market these days. Seller is legit, and this game looks and plays great.

JJP has done this.

Quoted from Phbooms:

no they havent, im pretty sure that on complete system updates they reset but with the deltas they dont. so if jjp goes from 1.90 to 1.95 doesnt update play count but 1.95 to 2.0 would. Im pretty sure thats how it works for them.

Okay, thanks for info.

When I think about people cheating this to remove total plays. I'm reminded of Ferris Bueller's Day Off when they put the car in Reverse to try to take the mileage off it.

Price drop to $4700.00.

#25 6 years ago

Game has a couple more plays on it. I could not resist jamming out on it today.

Price was lowered to 4500. Game is tentatively sold.
