#11 5 years ago

Another reason, of many, that new members should not be able to list a machine for sale on here until established or a contributor of posts.

#13 5 years ago

Some deals pan out no matter. Some people wouldn't go through the trouble just to sell something. Some sellers on here are established and still not trustworthy.

#14 5 years ago

This is either a scam, or it's about to turn into an auction.

Regardless, every time a for sale post from a new member happens, everyone is on edge, usually because its too good to be true. Why are new members allowed to make a for sale post as their first is beyond me.

#16 5 years ago

Im not on edge. Just hope he calls me first.
Maybe they need to have a returnable deposit for new members who want to list. Maybe a requirement to contact the moderator via phone or possibly an automatic indicator that the seller has responded to some messages, if they don't within a specific timeline, their listing gets removed including archive or blacklisted in archive.

Why would you want a scammer to call you?

#18 5 years ago

for the first year a newbie should have to sell through a pinside sponcer ! another pinsider willing to be the middle man.

Are you sure it is? Ive seen plenty of machines sell from 1st timers. Those listings seemed too good and weren't listed well and took awhile for anyone to respond

#20 5 years ago

He contacted me about this yesterday by email. I have already offered to buy it but have not heard back from him.

I saw this posted today on my lunch break.

Seriously? So others contact him way before, and he talks to probably the last guy to contact him?

#22 5 years ago

#23 5 years ago

#24 5 years ago

Sure that would go well. Just buy everything from them to flip. Good deal for the"sponsor"

#26 5 years ago

PM sent before it was posted.

Since that email message would be at the top of his inbox, makes sense, no?

My advice would be to immediately send as many PMs as possible, as desperately as possible, and then move on to veiled and then actual threats an hour later. This will guarantee results!

OG High Speed much better. I PM'd him that little tidbit and have not received any banter back yet

#30 5 years ago

I am local to him and i have emailed him with no response yet.

#31 5 years ago

I PMd him offering him $500 over asking while reminding him that nobody lives up their word anymore and it's a sign of the collapse of society.

Truth.

He apparently doesn't understand how email or messages work timeline wise, or what first come first served etiquette.

He was going to email you back but........ he is technically a millennial and he knew how you felt about young people lol

Looks like I was the lucky one here. Thing is I already have a getaway. I guess I'll just throw this one away. Oh well

#36 5 years ago

The getaway that got away....

#38 5 years ago

Well, he did mark it 'pending' to his credit. Someone might have gotten a good deal...

Actually, it wasn’t a scam. I was the first person to contact him by email before he ever posted here. He contacted me independent of pinside. I did offer to pay him a bit more for it since it was underpriced.

Sometimes people do keep their word.

You're an idiot

#44 5 years ago
Quoted from leonml:

You're an idiot

You’re contributions to this site are so far as follows:

1. Informing us common folk how awesome you’re rich neighborhood is

2. Telling people their machines are worth way less than market value

3. Telling young people to get off your lawn.

Only one person here sounds like an idiot. Enjoy your new getaway lol. Oh no wait.... you didn’t end up getting that. My bad
