$11k Funhouse? I'm not sure there is such a thing, regardless of how nice the resto is. I've been wrong before, though. GLWS!

#3 6 years ago

Cheaper than a batman and you know you're getting a fantastic game. I think it is close to what a nib FH would bring.

#4 6 years ago

The only $11k funhouse I have ever seen was a trailer house my buddy rented in college...

#5 6 years ago

At 11k my nightmares of Rudy have reached a new boiling point

#6 6 years ago

Paying $11K for a nicely restored Fun House is like paying $500K for a super high end restored Chevy Cavalier.

#7 6 years ago

I just wanted to see how nice the hooker was that was included in the cabinet. She must have been on lunch.

#8 6 years ago

So this is a High End Pins Funhouse, or just a "high end" Funhouse?

#9 6 years ago

I think this is my favourite Pinside comment ever.

#10 6 years ago

Gorgeous!!

#11 6 years ago

I sold a beautiful Funhouse 5 years back or so for about $4,500 -- I'm sure not as nice as yours, but still *very* nice with a ton of the upgrades you mentioned (playfield, decals, parts). The market has changed, and I'm sure I probably sold it a little cheap, but.... wow. I may be priced out of this hobby before long.

Best of luck with the sale. It's a beautiful machine.

No it is not a HEP game .

#13 6 years ago

It's nice but a Funhouse is really not much fun.

#14 6 years ago

Lots of new stuff on this one that is pretty labor intensive. Looks amazing!

#15 6 years ago
Quoted from High_End_Pins:

When my Funhouse is completely redone by Chris at HEP it will TRULY be a High End pin I am confident will rival any Funhouse out there! Not that it is a competition, just sayin that Chris is one of the very best out there!

#16 6 years ago

Subscribed to watch this mess.

I believe this example to be a high end Funhouse, but certainly not a High End Funhouse. Perhaps a bit misleading, surely it was an innocent mistake.

I just.. I.. wow!

Cargument of the day!

Well, lucky for you there's like 5,000 similar "It better give me a blow job for that price!!!" posts in the Pinside archives. An oldie but goodie.

See, this took it to another level, adding the obvious joke, but doing it with that sense of fresh-faced sarcasm

#21 6 years ago

11k would buy an awful lot of pinball... still there might be somebody out there that would splurge

#22 6 years ago

Next time my neighbor is over I want to show him this. He had his restored including new Mirco play field, full new cabinet wraps and white powder coating done by Matt at Back Alley. Powder coated the coin door white as well it is stunning. Painted inside cabinet etc.

Thats' where I play FH.

#23 6 years ago

As a Funhouse owner I have to say; Nice Funhouse, but damn that's alot to ask!

#24 6 years ago
Quoted from loneranger:

Not sure about funhouse, but somebody's effin high

#25 6 years ago

Hell, I would let mine go for 7 and it has everything this one does.

#26 6 years ago

It *is* possible to have $10k plus in a Funhouse with a high level BK/HEP/McCune restore:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/funhouse-porn-a-bryan-kelly-restoration

I ended up with $12k in mine. Every restore is different of course with parts/labor/skill levels. Just saying it is possible...

#27 6 years ago

that's a beautiful looking game. A lot of people including myself spend a lot of money fixing these things up, but you can rarely get the money/time you put into it back. Which is why there aren't many people who do this kind of stuff for a living. I think the thing that brings in the most profit would be an in home technician. Had quite a few people tell me they wish they could own one, but would be clueless if it broke down.
Good luck with the sale.

#28 6 years ago

Does it have a Glory-Hole coin door? ==D

#29 6 years ago

Haters gonna hate. I don't blame ya one bit. Kinda like selling a house : start crazy high, cause you can always go down. Up, not so much.
Beautiful restore man, glws.

#30 6 years ago

Really nice work. If I wanted that game, I might pay it. After all, you could start with a junky example and spend more than that trying to get it into shape.

#31 6 years ago

Could just be me but I'm not feeling the "High End" part. It's either intentionally misleading or improper grammar. I'm not a fan of either.

Quoted from MinusWorlds:

Yeah. When I checked this out earlier I went "hmm that's not a horrible price for an HEP since I've seen most of his stuff go for 12-15k" I didn't even notice that it was missing the pinball portion. when he capitalized High End. it definitely is misleading, not that anyone would spend this kind of money without checking those details but, there are plenty of other words he could've used to describe a very nicely restored pinball machine.

#33 6 years ago

Paid $7500 for my 2010 HEP last year, I feel like I got a bargain

He did the same thing on Facebook. "Funhouse High End".
Like I said before it's a nice pin and looks like alot of work went into it. However calling it "High End" like that can be misleading.

#35 6 years ago
Quoted from dontfeed:

Well, to be fair, in the rest of the known universe those words are just words and not a pinball dude/company.

I think calling something a high end restore is completely understandable. He didn't say HEP restore at all correct?

It does look high end too...way high end, a WHE Restore (Tm).

#36 6 years ago

Way
High
End restoration
Except it ain't HEP
A WHEE.

To be fair he's been on pinside for 3 years. Within 3 days of joining pinside I knew who HEP was... if this was a barn find it'd be a different story. It's a very nice full blown resto. That's a small word of people doing that level of work.

My last free bump for the OP

Sorry folks, the term "high end" or "High end restorations" had been around as long as I can remember and not just for pinball. High end Pinball did not invent the term. Yeah the price is crazy on this game but anyone can use the term "high end" to describe a restoration. Nothing misleading.

Yeah we realize that. And had he said "high end restoration" nobody would care. Because it is. No denying it's a beautiful restored pin. However, when you capitalize the "High End" you are calling it a proper name/noun. Hence, misleading.

#40 6 years ago

It's no secret we work for thepinballcompany.com and at the shop, we call these high end. High End Restorations to be exact right from the webpage.
There was no intention or anything said that this was a HEP game.
The current price on the website has funhouse at $13k and we sell a couple a year. There is a market at this price point but I acknowledge 95%+ of pinside will think it's crazy high. But have those 95% put that much work, time and parts into a game before?
It plays just beautifully.

*crazy there's so much of a flap over a capital E.

#41 6 years ago
Quoted from dgoett:

there's so much of a flap

that should be pinside's motto!

#42 6 years ago

PM sent.

I'm just kidding, I got nothing.

#43 6 years ago

The only people we should see bagging on the price are those with a museum quality Fun House of their own. All markets are immediate and temporary. GLWS!

That's 2 years ago, Pez. That's actually a 7k+ machine now.

Not the OP's asking price, but definitely somewhere in the middle...

#47 6 years ago

OP can ask any price he wants. A packet McDonald's Szechuan Sauce from 1998 just sold for $14K on Ebay, so who are we to criticize?

I don't price police and didn't mean to criticize. Just offering my opinion. My apologies to the OP if it was taken that way.
