FS: Star Wars Episode 1 Conversion Kit - HUO!

Added: July 13th, 2015 Ended: July 27th, 2015
Condition: HUO - Documented (Home Used Only)

Item description

Genuinely home use only SWEP1 conversion kit for sale in Columbus, Ohio. Local pickup preferred; will consider shipping for a reputable member. Asking $1600; will consider offers and trades.

Feel free to check my wanted list, though I'm sure there are other titles I'd consider - especially Bally early SS or 6803 titles, or a BSD or DW.

Great condition, in the original box. Playfield looks fantastic with no insert wear or anything. Side art decals, ROMs on ROM card, translite, etc. all included. I am the third owner, I believe.

I've never installed this in my RFM, but it was used by a previous owner at one point (I believe based on the marks left by the shooter on my RFM cabinet.)

(Price listed wasn't based on the PUB card / Prism card being included. Doing a price check currently to see how that affects things.)

THIS ITEM IS SOLD!

Someone posted their populated playfield that was dusty and missing a few parts and a couple of people thought he could get around $900 for it. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/swe1-populated-playfield

So I imagine your HUO playfield with extras could probably fetch more, just not sure how much more.

For reference, I sold my NIB conversion kit in 2011 or 2012 for $1350. Came as it did new from Williams.

Thanks for the info, guys! It sounds like I'm at least in the right neighborhood on price then, right?

There appears to be a comparable one for $1850 or so also on here, but I know asking prices aren't the best reference points.

The problem with $1,600 is that someone offered me an entire SWE1 a week ago for $600 more.

Yeah, pricing the kits is tough; my playfield is better than what I see in the vast majority of SWEP1s, but I don't know to what degree that matters.

What would you say is fair for the kit?

If someone sold a NIB one for $1,350, maybe $1,150?

I bought a NIB kit a few years back for $700. Price creep may have occurred a bit, but the last couple HUO to move seemed to be around the $900-1100 range.

However the correct price for this is whatever you and the buyer end up at to get the deal done

$1000-1500 is fair,

Are you guys talking HUO prices? A couple years ago I was seeing routed ones sell for $1000-1200, if memory serves correctly.

Has the price on this dropped?

If you were closer or were shipping and shipping wasn't stupid expensive, we'd be talking. I've been looking for one, and they don't exist around here. I passed on a HUO full kit last year at $1450 (plus like $275 shipping) because I just didn't have the funds at the time, but haven't kept up with prices to know how they've gone since then. Good luck on the sale.

I copied a lot of the language in this from my Johnny sale thread; I guess I'm not wholly opposed to shipping and taking Paypal Gift or wire transfer from a reputable member. Shooting a PM your way.

I sold one last year for $1200 plus $185 shipping (Fed Ex). It had a handfull of plays on it and was a complete kit in the original box. I think the buyer got a good value at that price. Hope this helps. GLWS
