Party Zone Pinball Machine

1991 "Party Zone" by Bally. Fun game that is ready to go.

Dancing dummy is missing (sorry wasn't me)
Replaced all burned out bulbs
Tested all switches
Tested flashers
Replaced flipper buttons
Replaced right flipper unit
Replaced leg bolts
Replaced broken targets
Replaced plastic lane guides
Replaced and dated batteries
Had to replace a few coils since the previous owner put in the wrong ones and one was bad.
Also replaced a couple driver board transistors due to a coil listed above.
Had to solder in a couple new header pins to the driver board which was causing some weird intermittent things.

Been playing it a lot and kids have too. I think I got all the gremlins out.

Thanks for looking!

No dancing dummy?

#4 8 years ago

Does it come with the green screwdriver? Good looking game!

#5 8 years ago

Unfortunately the dummy was absent when I got it.

If a screwdriver is what is needed to push the sale forward, I could make that happen Funny that I left that in the pic. Only noticed it after you pointed it out.

What are all the parts missing for this game?
Dancing robot and what else?

#10 8 years ago

Sorry for the delay. Don't go on PS all that much. Sure wish they would have notifications...

Anyways, I'm not all that familiar with this game but the dancing dummy was the obvious thing that was missing when I got it. Looked all over and could never find one. I guess it doesn't affect game play from what I can tell. Off the top I can't think of anything else that is missing.

When I look at the machine with a critical eye, the ramps might need to be replaced due to some of the usual cracks. They still work so would be a personal choice if they would need to be replaced. It looks like the head was dropped on the machine since the side metal rails have a dent on both sides. The upper right robot head looked a bit odd to me. When I compared it to a pic, it would appear that someone did some custom painting. (seems like a odd thing to modify). The robot head does move it's mouth like it should however. The metal trim on the front top of the back box looks a little damaged. Appears due to the fact that it must have landed on the machine at one time.

These are the things I noticed. It had a lot more issues on the PF like targets and plastics which I pretty much took care of all of it.

Pointing out all the faults probably doesn't help the sale but I'd rather be up front. It's not a perfect machine but still good I believe.

If more detailed pics are needed, let me know.

Thanks!

If anyone is interested, I can bring PZ to Expo.

Thanks

I think the reason it hasn't sold is that new ramps are impossible to find. Also the missing dummy figure will turn a lot people off.

I'd reduce the price or just keep it and have fun with it. Just my 2 cents.
