Nice price!

A nice gesture on your part. Hopefully someone can find an MPU board so it doesn't get parted out (as parts are fairly hard to find for this pin).

The pin is actually kind of fun and plays like an EM cocktail. I know someone local who has one and it will probably never leave their collection.

I'm sure it won't last long!

I have a stack of spare MPUs. Let me know if anyone is looking for spare parts.

#4 8 years ago

Man if you were on the other side of PA I'd be all over this

#6 8 years ago

still available. Someone please come and get this out of my garage. I will try and take some pics tonight and post.

Trust me, I spent a fair amount of company time yesterday online seeing if I could find replacement boards for this. If I could've found the boards and some other parts I'd probably need, you would've seen a PM from me already and a SUV in Milford last night. If someone has the board for this and is local, they are getting an awesome conversation piece at the very least, a cool collector item, and something that may be really fun to own for a steal.

Hi Guys

I have a ton of boards and 2 playfields that are getting parted out. If someone takes a shot on this game let me know what you need.

I learned this a long time ago, you should never list anything for free. If it doesn't have value to you, it wont to anyone else.

If you listed it for $100, you probably would get 3 offers for 50-75 bucks and it would be gone.

Put it on Craigslist for free and you'll have 10 replies in an hour. 8 of the 10 won't even know what a pinball machine is, but if it's free it doesn't matter to them. I've gotten rid of all manner of junk on CL that way....One man's junk is another man's treasure.

#11 8 years ago

I wanted to give someone on Pinside first as other members have helped me out in the past. It will go on craigslist in a few days if no one wants it here.

#12 8 years ago

I would gladly take it if you were closer. Just too far unfortunately...

#13 8 years ago

A few people have emailed me today. I will try and post pics tonight so anyone that is really interested knows what they are getting and can decide for themselves if they want it.

#14 8 years ago

If you put it on Craigslist, don't list it for free. Then you have to deal with all the junk collectors... and those are some sketchy dudes that you really don't want coming around. List it for $50 (firm) and you'll get rid of it just as fast (or possibly faster, as you're more likely to attract someone who really wants it) and not have to deal with the CL riff-raff.

I'd p-roc this thing. Bummer......Someone is going to get something great.

Pictures? It's freaking free...Just go pick it up people.

OK I took some pics. Can someone confirm that only the MPU/CPU is missing?

All of the other parts from the playfield and the glass are in a box as the original owner was starting to tear it down to shop it out.

When you finally give this great gesture away for free you can quote He Haw, the show Roy was always famous for: "You Met Another and Pffffff You Were Gone!" My parents sort of forced me to watch this when I was a kid. Great luck with the sale/givaway.

Totally agree. I tried this once (not with pinball) and won't do it again. The crazies come out of the woodwork for anything free. Put a price on it, any price, to keep the nutjobs away.

If you insist on giving it away for free, put it on the curb or in a public place like a park, post on CL where it is and that is it free, then remove the ad as soon as someone picks it up.

Looks like only the MPU is missing. It's a little hard to see in the second pic. Is the fuse board present? I see the power supply and the chime unit.

If someone wants to make a buck, I need allied leisure drop targets, and they all appear to be intact.

A complete left flipper assembly would also be nice...

I'd buy all that from this machine - if someone didn't want to save it.

I'm all for saving, though. There are parts out there for these machines (just not the parts that I need), and as you have seen in this thread, there are folks with spare MPUs.

Someone go grab it!

If no one ends up taking it nickrooster do you want it? I can drop off the pinball in Manassas VA June 19 if that helps.

#22 8 years ago

If you're coming further south to raleigh nc I'll take it

#23 8 years ago

I'll check and see if I can make the drive to Manassas on June 19th. I will PM you later this week if no one steps up to coordinate a time. What a kind offer!

#24 8 years ago

If you are coming to papa in the fall and can bring it I would gladly take it and buy you a few rounds of beer at a local brewery for your trouble.

#25 8 years ago

I'll take it. Sending a pm to you now.
