Game - for sale

For sale: Flight 2000

Added: 2019-03-31 19:34:30 UTC • Ended: April 6th, 2019
Condition: Partially shopped/refurbished

Price

$ 1,800

For sale is a 1980 Stern Flight 2000. The game is fully functional and is a rather nice example for this title given its over 40 years old. Game has original playfield and backglass with updated board set to Alltek Systems Ultimate MPU, Solenoid Driver, and Lamp Driver.

Playfield:
The playfield is rather nice for an early solid state game. Standard insert edging and cupping and some other flaws here and there but surprisingly still has some of the original gloss and shine to it. Some slight wear above the 1X insert should be able to be touched up. Fresh rubbers throughout and the GI has been converted to warm white/cool white LED's. There is one cracked plastic at the very top left but it is not very noticeable.

Cabinet:
The cabinet is very solid and has some flaws here and there but really nothing major except for a slight scrape at the front on the left side. Some scuffing on the head in the blue area could very easily be touched up. The inside of the cabinet and head have original paperwork stapled inside that look almost untouched. The original MPU-200 had seen a good deal of corrosion from a leaked battery so the Solenoid Driver, Lamp Driver, and MPU have been converted to Alltek. Displays are original. The backglass is amazing and is near perfect for an original.

Overall a very nice game that doesn't appear to have seen a lot of play throughout its life. I will include the original corroded MPU-200 and the SDU-100 and LDA-100 boards to keep with the game for its originality.

Game is for sale locally and pickup is in Carteret NJ. I've included quite a few pictures to try and give the best possible description of condition but please PM me if you have any questions.

This machine is so tempting, and looks to be in really great shape for it's age. There is one of these at Crabtowne USA I always put quarters in but the playfield is trashed compared to this one. Great game and very unique multi-ball locking mechanism. If you are not familiar with this game look at the upper left quadrant of the playfield in the pictures. If I hadn't just dropped all my pinball funds on a Hobbit this would be going in my basement. Have a bump for the cool machine and GLWTS!

VERY tempting.... I can not see this machine being for sale for very long. These games always come up at wrong place at wrong time for me. But someone's going to get a darn nice F2K. That's about as nice of an original Stern PF as you are going to find.... Very clean machine.
