What what? Whats wrong with it......

#3 2 years ago

Missing a digit (on listed price) I suspect.

#4 2 years ago

Whoa that's a great price!

$1875 is my guess.

#6 2 years ago

Any pictures of the playfield?

That's the longest Flash Gordon I have ever seen.

If you zoom in on that one pic it looks pretty freakin nice....

Dear god why AZ!

#9 2 years ago

That's one of the redder Flash Gordon's I've seen. Killer price.

Is this true? I thought they all had it. Mine does?

#11 2 years ago

If only all Flash Gordon's were like the one he describes.

It's true. Not all had it. Mine does though.

True that.

Warning bells always go off for me when an ad reads off game features like how many pop bumpers it has while not really mentioning particulars of condition. I maybe reading it wrong and if so I apologize. It just seems like a weirdly worded ad.

#15 2 years ago

The responses in this thread might have been enough for him to bump the price to $1500 from the original $875.

GLWS!

#16 2 years ago

Wait ..it was 875.00?
Holy crap, if this was in northeast I'd already be on my way with cash in hand.

It looks as though hes selling some one else's collection. Look at the rubbers on BOP, totally dried out and falling off.

#18 2 years ago

PM sent!

#19 2 years ago

I had considered maybe buying this and one of the EMs he has for sale, but none of those titles interest me at all.

Now that the price has near doubled, I'm out.

#20 2 years ago

Well it went from $875, then to $1175, then to $1500. There is definitely some party foul of some sort here, not standard behavior for sure. Is this an auction or a marketplace ad ?

It's still underpriced, the guy probably had no idea how to sticker it, chill out.

I wouldn't sell mine for this cheap, hell I didn't buy it for this cheap, and it has less stuff. Raise your price again if someone hasn't snatched it. No reason to let it go for less than market rate, someone will still get a good deal.

#22 2 years ago

I have let him know I am good with the price of $1500.

Waiting...

Possibly. He has been a member here longer than I have been so who knows. I looked at some of his older posts to see if he's legit as I was interested in his centaur. There's an interesting thread the op started about selling a taf.

Ahh classic pinside price pumping.

#26 2 years ago

He could double his asking price & still sell easily. That FG is in great condition.

More like protecting a fellow pinsider from getting ripped off, so piss off with that noise.

Exactly. Good lord people here are quick to be douchebags though. Try looking out for your fellows instead of pissing on them.

If he's selling it for at least what he has into it, I don't see how that would be "ripped off".

He wanted 875 for it. If he got 875 would he be ripped off? what if he paid 300 for it? What you are doing is called price pumping.

#30 2 years ago

I paid near $2k for mine, but I'm all for somebody else getting a nice one for under a grand. Because that would have suited me fine as well.

Which is the way it should be. Some people can't stand to see someone else get a deal. Especially if it is a game they own (and have a vested interest in it's value).

So I see. This goes on on Craigslist and a seller keeps reposting the same pin at a higher and higher price and we call it out.

Happens on the marketplace and it's protecting a fellow pinsider.

So here is the thing: 1) I would have done my homework on price. 2) If I don't do my homework on price and post it up and I quickly figure out I could have got more, guess what ... I sell it for the posted price. And yes this isn't just theoretical, it's happened to me. But I guess that's just me.

#33 2 years ago

In full defense of the op, he did check the box "open for offers". So it is up to him to accept whatever offer he desires, even if it is more than his asking price. Best offer means just that.

Absolutely. That is his right. But to say that if he gets his asking price, he is being "ripped off"?

Trying to mask price pumping of a game you own as "looking out for your fellows instead of pissing on them."

#35 2 years ago

He might be raising the listed price as the offers come in. It more or less becomes an auction of sorts when you include "open for offers" whether pinside likes it or not.

He could sell it for $300 and it wouldn't affect how I value mine. I just don't think about selling it.

#36 2 years ago

If he sold it for 875 (his original asking price), someone would get a good deal, the OP gets his asking price, and it doesn't mean you have to sell yours for that price, Aurich. A win win win!

#37 2 years ago

Price will continue to double as posts flood in.

#38 2 years ago

Well I for one am going the other way. I got tree fiddy and an autographed cassette tape of David Lee Roth's "Eat Em and Smile". I'm a little busy so just leave a message at the beep.

Not certain how this whole Market Place thingy works, but the last time I saw an auction on here was for that $50 Rolling Stones pin.

This is a good looking pin, good luck to the next owner.

It's really not supposed to be auction style, better off to go a little high and put or best offer instead of raising the price, especially having the archived ads for a machine help you ballpark the price on most machines. This ad would have went well at $2250 or best offer in my opinion.

considering the OP is yet to reply I dont think he really wants to sell.
