Where’s the after pictures?

#4 5 years ago

Does that orange fish have insert wear? My buddy is looking for a mint one but needs to be wear free

#5 5 years ago

at least it has a restored price!

#6 5 years ago

Please tell us who the restorer is so that we can avoid them.

#7 5 years ago

So what are you guys seeing that has your panties in a bunch? Just wondering because I'm on my phone and can't see much detail in the pics.

It’s being presented as totally restored and asking a premium price. Here’s a spot that was missed I guess.

Hmmm, I don't see where he says it is in perfect condition. He says it "was" restored. Things could happen after a restore is done I guess. Looks pretty nice to me.

#11 5 years ago

Not a restore imo but a nice shopped out original.

#12 5 years ago

Maybe it was restored to its 2017 condition? Or maybe its had 100,000 plays in the last 6 months?? Just trying to give the benefit of the doubt to this "long time restorer"! On the other hand, i'm aware of a few "long time restorers" that have been doing half-assed, shitty "restores" for a long time.

#13 5 years ago

Finally, Fish Tales getting A-title respect... ha...

I'm guessing restored means new cab decals and art blades. Just looks like a nice Fish Tales otherwise...

#14 5 years ago

Fully restored is very subjective. Some will say if you use that term it had better be HEP level. Others it means fully shopped, boards are bullet-proofed, and any major playfield or cabinet wear is corrected. Until the seller provides details of what he meant its hard to tell from a few pics.

That thing is overpriced by at least 2000 dollars.
How do you even arrive at $4700?!

#16 5 years ago

I guess I am selling mine for 4600.

Not to defend the op’s price...but if you have a FT that is in good shape for $2700...let me know!

Not this again. The old “if ya got one at X price, lmk”

There were two very good FT at Pintastic in 2017, one was mine and sold for $2000, the other sold for $2100. They both sat for awhile too.
$300 decals and a painted coin door doesn’t make it worth $2000 extra, and a year and a half didn’t make the title balloon up 2k either.

It’s the Jurassic Park thing all over again, everyone always says “great price!” On a $3500-4k JP but they never sell for that, not on the east coast realistically anyways. I just had a really nice one on Pinside within 6 months, fully shopped, no issues, nice cabinet, and it sat, and sat, and it barely pulled $2650 after it was all said and done, even though I argued with people in the JP thread to their insistence, that they sell for 3500/4k.

There’s real pricing and then there’s pumpers and wishers.

I actually am somewhat serious about this. It’s hard to find a nice example around me for
less than $3500. I would love to have a chance at FT for 2k or a little over. If you have one, PM me and we can talk.

Machine looks very nice. Getting kind of hard to find a decent FT.

The wear around the inserts hurts the value of this one, but around here it would still fetch 3K+. In fact, I sold one north of that: it had a nicer playfield with no wear, and only very slight fade on the cabinet.

#22 5 years ago

I'm pretty surprised if you have a hard time selling a nice FT for $2000. Maybe if pf had a lot of wear. Hard to find any decent B/W dmd game for that cheap unless it needs work.
