Quoted from toddtuckey:

I did some research on FIREPOWER 2. in the last 40 years, we have sold 22 different machines. A few of them have been traded in and resold, but we still count it as one. (We have sold 43 of the original FIREPOWER machines so far) Back in 1994, we were not shipping games all over the USA, but just locally. We sold TWO of them in 1994---one for $700 and the other for $900. I do not know which one this was, however the one we sold for $900, we were out in 2007 changing the logic board (the AA batteries had leaked--we were not using our Lithium batteries yet. However, if this machine pictured has a lithium cell in it, then it would have been the $900 machine!
I can ASSURE you when we sold these games back then we were not putting $600 into them in parts and labor. We were also NOT painting them.....NO ONE WAS. We were changing the rubbers and replacing bulbs that were out.
Since the machine is being sold for $800 or OBO now, I think our customer got incredible value for his money--25 years of fun for virtually no cost! Todd

Agreed!

OK while we are at it, here's my submission to the playfield touch up house of horrors!

This is game has gone to a new home and I'm hoping they can find a new playfield for it.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

and yes the touchups are crappy, but still looks better than if it was bare wood. Least it kind of blends in and tricks the eye at first glance.

Nah.

That Hot Doggin would have looked MUCH better with bare wood and so would the FP2. It can trick the eye for a second in a crappy photo in person stuff like that really stands out.

No touch up is always better than bad touch up.
