Quoted from Milton187:

Ahoy Tommyp,

New plastic set 180
New switches 129
Powder coating 260
New rails 100
Boards 500? No longer available....
New connectors 20 plus 280 labor
Stencils 180

I think we are up to damn near 4 grand already!
New posts.. lighted..
And all the hardware.......and miscellaneous crap.
Now talk labor.
How much do you charge to completely remove all items from the top and bottom of the playfield.
How much to paint?
How much to buff all metal?
How much to drill the playfield?
How much to assemble?
How much to test and fix all the errors?
Please. Unless you restore machines for a living I highly doubt you have any idea how much time goes into these machines.
I stand by my prices. I have full receipts and photos documentation.
I apologize for not posting pictures immediately.
I didn't realize how toxic this site has become.
Thought maybe I was on Facebook...

Could have posted pictures in the time it took to write this? Sounds nice. Interested to see the photos when posted. GLWS.

Quoted from porkcarrot:

The difference is a new rap song doesn’t do harm to a song you do like. You took a fun game (two actually) that lots of people like and made them ridiculously expensive. I think that is harmful and I’m saying something about it.
It’s true that people will pay for restored, pristine games. But it’s also true that those games will get played a lot less than average condition games going forward, because people want to keep them pristine. So all these beautiful restorations are causing less games to be played, which is the exact opposite of the purpose of pinball.

OMG, the drama. Restoring a game and listing it at a price you don’t have to pay isn’t ruining the hobby.
