Up for sale is an original Bally Fireball 1972, the "holy grail" of electro-mechanical pinball machines! This machines action never ceases to amaze, especially for being nearly 50 years old. Some key features include; three ball multi-ball, whirlwind spinner, captive/messenger ball, variable scoring collect hole saucers, a left drain kick back, free ball gate, zipper flippers and one of the best skill shots in all of pinball! Fireball always puts a smile on my face whenever the fire gods are released and the scoring frenzy begins!
As for the condition; the backglass is all original and in superb condition with no fading whatsoever. Score reels are sharp and clean, and each gone through so all four players score as they should. Playfield is superb with only minor wear around the kickout saucers and the inserts by the Odin saucer. Looks very clean around the whirlwind spinner, where most examples show wear. The pop bumpers have very tasteful color protective mylar, which may have wear underneath, but was installed before I got this game. Cabinet is very sharp with tasteful touch-ups done here and there, (mostly on the headboard).
The game has been completely shopped starting with the playfield, which was stripped down/cleaned/waxed. All the posts were removed and cleaned and all lamps replaced with NOS older lamps (no LED's in this machine). All new rubber rings added and plastics were cleaned. Flippers bats are original and are double ringed to protect them, bumper caps are original as well. The coin mechs even still work and I have the game currently set on coin play for nostalgia, but can easily be adjusted for free play on the credit wheel located in the headboard.
If you're looking for a classic Bally Fireball EM, you wont find many nicer all original examples out there than this. Play meter currently shows 68,201 plays.
