This is not my pin, but if you look at the cost of the machine and how the exchange rate went, plus add about $2,000 US to air ship the pin over... it actually isn't as much as you think. I hope you are shitting all over the The Big Lebowski and MMr resale threads also... right?

I am still outraged at Bond 60 at $20K, most people are LMAO... who are you kidding buddy? It's different to be critical of a manufacturer than it is in individual pin seller of a RARE pin, but you appear to be too ignorant to see the difference...

I have to say $20K for Bond60 photoshop art makes this almost look like $16K is a good deal. Just a beautiful game. We are being trained.

Agree. I don't see how anyone can jump in and defend Bond 60 while looking at a fully loaded out Haggis Fathom for $4K cheaper??

I normally stay away from these frays but to gripe about a $20k game that has already been on Pinside for $17.5k while posting a game for sale at $16k (and certainly has the appearance of a flip) seems pretty hypocritical.

So it’s OK for you to sell a game at about $20k, so long as it’s rare and it’s not the price the original manufacturer asked. Uh. Ok.

And if someone calls you out on it they’re ignorant.

Sounds fair.

What are your feelings on all of the resellers of NIB TBL's (The big Lebowski's)? How is this any different than that? Because to me, that's what this is compared to, NOT an overpriced Stern Turd Sandwich..

Not my game. And this forum is full of people selling games well above regular MSRP, is that your gripe here? Because most games on this forum are priced above what they originally sold for.. and check this out.. the rarer, the more likely it's going to be priced like this.

If you don't want to buy it, move on... it's that simple. And I thought that was how everyone looked at games like this.

Don’t have a problem with this ad for $16k. But I also don’t have a problem with the 60th Bond for $20k. A pin is worth what someone is willing to pay. New, used, flipped. Whatever. If folks don’t like the price on either then don’t buy either. My prob is the hypocrisy. Stern is the devil for a $20k pin but then selling one for $16k is just fine. Dude.

#15 1 year ago

And sure Bond 60th is overpriced, to me. Agreed. But it doesn’t make me mad or outraged. I didn’t buy it.

I did… and shouldn’t have, because it is so overpriced. I wouldn’t even have bothered posting here if I hadn’t remembered them repeatedly going off in the Bond 60th thread.

Mermaid Edition ($11,500 AUD ($12650 incl. Australian GST) / $8,900 USD).

so $8900.00 us plus 2k in shipping ...

$11900.. what exchange rate ?

please let me know what I'm missing here !

why airship the game for 2k if your just going to flip it?

all good its your "friends" game do with it what you want GLWS

#18 1 year ago

Whenever I sell a game for a friend not on pinside I will only do it for at or below market....Not worth the aggravation getting grief for his price.

#19 1 year ago

As I have been blocked by OP, I have no clue what else they have said… but I suppose I should have considered their delicate sensibilities before having the audacity to question the consistency of their behavior on here.

#20 1 year ago

Your "friend" should just create a Pinside account and list it himself. Why is it every time someone is selling a pin for a "friend" it is always a marked up NIB game? It seems no one has "friends" that sell reasonably priced pins.

Also, the mental gymnastics cobray has to do to defend this price while also losing his mind over any price Stern charges is amazing. Like 5-time gold medal champion of mental gymnastics.

#21 1 year ago

Typical.

The biggest Price whiners are ALWAYS closet flippers.

Completely unsurprising.

#22 1 year ago

I see both sides of the argument - on the one hand, flipping is bad for the hobby and causes prices to rise overall.

On the other hand, I don't expect someone to wait 2 years (under duress) with their money tied up on a bet that they actually receive their game from a new inexperienced company 1/2 a planet away.

Quoted from transprtr4u:

why airship the game for 2k if your just going to flip it?

You airship the game because you're going to flip it. You want to get it here fast while there aren't many on the market to try and get someone impatient with a big wallet.

I've played a ME now, and it's a very pretty game. Is it worth $16k? I don't think so personally, but hey, whatever. As long as companies insist on using these lame LE models to try and prop up interest this is what the market is going to do. It's human nature.

I'm not mad at the seller or a potential buyer. But I do wish Haggis had simply said "we'll sell you a 2.0 game any time, because we believe in our new code and lighting and everything, and we want as many people to buy them for $X as want them" instead of the fake limited stuff.

It would be better for them in the long run imo. Now that I've seen the extra stuff the ME has I'd never order the plain remake, knowing that it has all the ability to run the extra code but is gimped. And it would cut down on flippers. It feels win-win, but they wanted that FOMO boost at launch I guess.
