Gorgeous game! GLWS

looks like you found your Fathom Tiger!!! Better jump on this one quickly!

NightMutilator I suggest posting some more and better pictures of the game if you want to sell it sooner rather than later.

Any possible buyer is going to want to see lots more and in good lighting. Underside of pf, boards, backside of glass, more of the cabinet repaint, etc...

The price is fair to good if the swap ad refurb was done well, but the photos will sell it quicker.

I would say a base fathom core is 4k right nowand that is if you can even find one...

It is easy to then crunch numbers on a restoration and parts start adding up. I see 6k in base and main parts. No comment on the quality of the refurbish as I would need more picks or to see it in person.

If you think this game isn’t worth 4K, you don’t know shit.

Agreed,a non working corethat is parts complete but needs everyhting will cost you 4k

And, I am always in the market as are many others. I just know a bad deal when I see it. Next time I’ll keep my mouth shut.

Can we get a link to your 2700 dollar example you bought on here please?

Look at the archived ads on here. # 54170

This? https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/archive/54170

A game that was in a hurricane, badly corroded, trashed thoughly... for 2700 seems fair. And you want to bash this game?
That is the cheapest fathom in the past five years and there is a reason for it. One hell of a project and that salt water did a real number to the game... even after restoration it will still be a hurricane game with gremlins and a flaking backglass. I actually think that same game has been through three owners just on pinside if it is the same one I am thinking of?

Quoted from jj44114:

Because you don’t know shit, the backglass was perfect and the cab was good too. I’m sure you couldn’t restore it but maybe somebody can

Are you done restoring it yet? Lets see it.

Also the backglass is bubbling off on the lower corner. 2700 was fair for a hurricane non working core and 1000 worth of new cpr pf and plastics. Good deal, but to get that game even to the level of the one in this add would take more time and would still have the whole hurricane poop and salt water concern for most.

Quoted from jj44114:

It’s not about who got the better deal. My point was it’s not a$7500 game. If you disagree fine. Buy it.

Nah, I never said this was a 7500 game. i just said that when you add up the cost of an actual working complete core and parts and work, it is easy to see tha things add up quick.

Quoted from Mr68:

I would rather pay around $7K for the advertised Fathom than pay nearly $3K for a significant project like that. And I went through a lot of effort to hunt down and restore the Fathom I have.

aint that the truth! I have done quite a few restorations and I can not imagine paying almost 3k to start at that base level. The amount of time, effort, and cost in bringing that rusted example back is crazy. I would much rather by a very nice example for 7k and save me the 4k of effort/time for a better restoration candidate on another game. (Let's be honest, there is a reason that hurricane Fathom has been through multiple owners in the past few years and largely in the same state)

Well then give me a thumbs up for once! I promise you won't be hospitalised by doing so.

I may need some penicillin...

Quoted from fosaisu:

And yet he clearly said his $2700 hurricane-damaged machine was better than the one for sale here. All very curious.

wow! He lied about the price he paid for the game to inflate its value and then used his same lie to bash the price of the OP game. That is a hell of a lie. Lots of mileage from that one.
