Move where? $1800 doesn't move many EMs.

El Dorados always have a high price on them.

If anyone is ever wondering about the value of a popular theme on an EM no less, just look at at Dorado. The same game with less popular themes is with hundreds less.

It's not the theme but the game play that make El Dorado and the 2 player version (Solar City), 4 player (Target Alpha) valuable. However the single player wedge head is the most collectible of all the multi edition playfield Gottlieb games. No 2 or 4 player of the same playfield brings more the single player wedge head in my opinion. If this game was within driving distance I'd offer $1,500.

At least based on Pinside pricing, Solar City is worth hundreds less. Can’t say if that is accurate as I haven’t shopped for it recently.

Pinside pricing is high. Does not take into account when the cash actually hits the glass. Many are unsold. Boston pinball tracks actual sales history on eBay (which many are high from 1st time buyers just wanting a game). El Dorado, kicking out the highest and lowest prices averages $1139 with 56 sold. Solar City $517, 42 sold and Target Alpha $557 with 72 sold. Data goes back to 2013.

$1800 for this game, in this condition is reasonable. I sold my Strange World for $1800, and kinda wish I hadn’t. El Dorado is less rare, but it’s a better tournament / league pin. Great risk/reward with the shot to move the lit target.

Exactly my point. I’ll pay a premium for condition, but this one is just ok. $1,250 for me. But he only needs one person willing to pay $1,800 of course.

Plus, if you want a premium price, please take the glass off for the photos.
