Stern Disco Pinball. For sale is a really nice 1979 Stern EM pinball machine. Only 815 produced. This one came from a recording studio in New Jersey that The Beach Boys recorded at and played this pin.

Brian Wilson wanted to buy it but being notoriously cheap he didn’t want to pay for shipping. This is the history of the machine I was told. The recording studio closed down and the maintenance man got it where it apparently sat for a long time. It was then purchased by a gentleman in New Jersey who bought it. He had it up for sale on pinside.com. It wasn’t working so he sold it. I then bought in February 2020 from another seller in New Jersey who buys and sells arcade and pinball games. They shipped it out and got it working.

I went through and hand painted and touched up the cabinet in areas that the paint was coming off and scraped off badly.

I touched up the playfield with airbrush paint after a thorough cleaning and then waxed it after painting it. Coin door and legs repainted and look great.

New rubber set, pop bumper caps, spinner decals, and new ball installed. All loose inserts glued in. All new incandescent bulbs in playfield and LEDs in back box.

Back glass has some flaking and I sealed it with triple thick to prevent further flaking but still looks really nice. Back box has metal door with new lock. Plastics on play field are original and are and look in great shape.
