Demo Man on Steroids

Added: September 22nd, 2015 Ended: November 19th, 2015
Condition: Fully restored (full original status)

Price

$ 5,100

Item description

I am selling this Demo Man on Steroids for a good friend/customer for only $5100.00. Which is a STEAL of a Deal. So if you were wanting a DMoS this is the one. I am estimating there's under 20 of these machines converted, I have converted about 4 of them myself. This machine was $6700.00 (DM was $2800 + DMoS upgrade kit was $3900). It is in excellent condition. He is looking to purchase another machine and needs the room. So he wants me to advertise it for him, and I can bring it to the 2015 Pinball Expo in Chicago next month to sell/deliver it. It had everything in it ColorDMD, Code Red mode with the UV lighting effects, shaker motor, etc.. and powered speaker system. The only thing this doesn't have is the powder coated armor, which can be done if wanted, but the handles were just re-chromed by Mike Chestnut and look beautiful.

Here is a little back ground on the DMoS conversion or you can search for in here on Pinside. There's other threads about it.

The buyer could not come up with the funds for this, so this DMoS is back up on the market.

Here are a few pictures of this Demo Man on Steroids GI lighting effects during game play and different modes. Its just a small sample of this machine. They are crazy looking. I know the camera shows this as purple side lighting, but actually it's more blue then purple.

I've had a few offers on trades for this machine, but it's still available.

DMoS is totally worth it, love mine! Steve, what is code red mode? What do you have as your speaker set up? How is the shaker set up? Just curious. Good luck with your sale!

#14 5 years ago

Code Red mode is during certain modes of the machine, the GI lighting and DMD change to red lighting (4th picture). It is just a visual effect that Dennis programmed from the machines that I converted. This machine has a powder sub Klipsch system and it rocks the game play. The shaker motor is programmed to work on the eye ball flasher and uses it's own relay and power supply to operate it. Again this is something that Dennis programmed into the machines that I worked on. The shaker motor is very will used throughout the game play.

This machine is loaded to the max. I know that there are not a lot of people that have not heard or played one, but it's not your normal DM, that's for sure.

Is it capable of reverting back to old rules?

#16 5 years ago

No, not really, it is totally different operating system in the machine. It has a P-ROC MPU and it is running on a mini-computer with a 3i processor, 64 GIG solid state HD and windows 7 OS. You would have to remove the entire system to run the original Williams OS for the old game rules.

But why would you want to do that?

It is not like the BoP 2.0

Cause I like to party, haha jk. Just curious cause I want one of these bad, but it's almost impossible to find one to try out. And I love the OG DM as is, so being able to revert back if I wanted to would be a plus.

#18 5 years ago

I understand.... This version is SOOOOO MUCH better then the original DM you would not want to go back.

It has some similar functions, but the lighting, call outs, DMD dots, sounds and music are totally up scaled and just to let everyone know it does swear in some call outs. Also there are other things like a Terminator multi-ball, Museum multi-ball, Car chase multi-ball with music from night rider, call outs from Rambo and on ball 5 it plays the theme for TRON. Which actually fits the look of the machine with the blue GI lighting.

You are right these machines don't come around, I have converted 4 or 5 and I am not sure it I will do anymore.

Some Playfield pictures and inside the machine. Sorry the over head lighting is glaring on the playfield, it is NOT washed out.

So Dennis released different DMoS code for different people?

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Is it capable of reverting back to old rules?

Technically yes. With the P-Roc it's possible to dual boot the original code with DMoS. Also, you can boot the other DM code that was created recently as well. Three completely different games in one, totally worth the price.

Proc in there? No wonder it's so expensive. Proc alone costs a ton.
