I've never understood the concept of the refundable deposit. What's the point, if it can just be refunded?
At bare minimum, deposit is kept but held and applied towards another pin purchase in the future.

I've had a $2k deposit with JJ for 2 years from a SWLE misfire. And trying to get a refund MINUS fees. No reply yet.

Let your "allotment" go somewhere else and STOP selling pins to people like Kaneda. There is your "abuse" right there.
This is all a bunch of manufactured BS demand at these prices. I'm F ing sick of it!!!
I think with non-refundable deposits, most of this issue goes away. Only people who really want a game will buy one, and there will be too much risk for the flippers. Cause seriously, how many new titles actually increase in value?
The other thing that's worth mentioning is that at least for the last two LEs (Maiden and Deadpool), Stern is finally offering alot of extra value for the extra cost. Stern glass, armor, shaker, artblades, mirrored backglass... sure beats the sad excuse of an LE I got when I picked up my SWLE!
