The rope light was on the game when I got it in May, 2015. It was ok for me, and doesn't look bad at all, so I didn't bother changing it out. I don't know the history.

Thanks again, folks, for offers and pm discussions about this game. If we can come to an agreement, I will offer a new neon - your choice of color - delivered directly to your home at my expense. Buyer responsible for the transformer, if needed. I can also swap the gold legs for a set of chrome legs - decent condition, but not as nice (in my opinion). Driving a significant distance killed one prospective deal as neither I or the buyer was hot to split 750 miles one way. I don't mind driving a couple hours each way. Glad to continue discussions if any of these ad changes interest you. Last bump until the Allentown Show.

I am assuming it needs a transformer, but have no clue why this was initially done. When I purchased the game, I didn't care - just wanted to find another CV. Since the rope light worked the same way as the neon, I was fine with it. Obviously, some prospective buyers are not, so I offer the new neon, but if it does need the transformer it is the buyer's responsibility.
