Item description

Gottlieb System 80 Circus. This is the extra wide - wide body machine.

The cabinet is not nice and the playfield has cupped inserts. There are some wear spots by inserts and where the saucer kickout of the ball lands. One pop bumper GI lamp is flaky.

While the backglass is in one piece it does have some serious flaking.

There is some wear around some of the bonus inserts and a wear mark where the balls lands after ejection from the saucer on the lower right. There are other small bits of wear.

The cabinet doesn't have any unusual smells such as smoke from cigarettes, burned coils or electronics.

The game works all the way with new rubber. The Rototarget is working great and all of the roto targets are whole and nice.

The bottom flippers can score the rotortargets without problem with the levelers up and staggered leg lengths with long ones in the rear.

The coin door is nice, no dents or bends. It has all three coin mechanism - the center the original Susan B. Anthony.

All the playfield controlled lamps are working as well as all of the switches - consistently without problem.

The circuit boards and connectors are solid with no corrosion. The machine boots every time without problem or any odd behavior. An external battery box has been added to the MPU.

Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced on the sound board, the power supply and the bottom board.

The bottom board of the cabinet has been replaced with a 3/4 inch plywood hardwood panel. The original was nasty.

Love the art on this one. I would take it if it could show up in Nashville

bump for this machine --- hey it works all the way, just isn't too pretty. I had a newbie on facebook interested even though my fb text indicates that this not a first pinball or a machine for someone new to pinball - he went away mad when I wouldn't sell it to him.

Now Facebook has removed my ad for this machine for reasons I can't comprehend. I suspect that this machine is not "politically correct" as it has ladies with minimum wear. I appealed and lost. What a bunch of crapola -- must be their new and improved software with the photo recognition. But people can post rather provocative selfies, but I guess this pinball machine is over the top causing serious alarms.

What about this game gives it a steep learning curve? I had one and it didn't seem to deep on the maintenance end. Good price nonetheless.

I am reluctant to sell old Gottlieb, early Williams and Bally SS to newbies. There are techs that will not work on these early solid state machines particularly Gottlieb System80's. Old machines just have more problems then newer machines.

At a point in the past, System 1 and 80 machines were considered "boat anchors."
